When i watch his college highlights, and Miles college highlights, they look very similar. Both were just simply able to bully their weaker opponents, and were able to create their own offense of a basic two dribble moves. Won't be able to do any of that in the NBA. Like Miles he does not seem to have too much skill. I see him as Miles, minus 2 athleticism and plus 2 shooting. Really don't know why they felt the need to draft another front court guy when our roster right now has like 1 and a half guys that can dribble the ball and 1 and a half thousand mediocre front court players.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Washington, Bacon, Miles, and Kemba are good fits next to the inevitable Whiteside trade we are about to make

Sick of it. Absolutely sick of it

Yeah problem is I wouldn’t say we are not good at any of that really.

There is really no difference between Marv, Bridges, or PJ. They are all average AF. No high ceilings.

Cody, Frank, Biyombo... I mean ****.

Who were you hoping they'd pick instead of PJ?

FWIW PJ is the Stepien's #8 prospect.

Hell, I still figure out how to trade for Wiggins so we can have Kemba a little group young of 6-7/6-9 guys for him to play with.

What is a high ceiling for you? Someone that is athletic and cant play fundamentally like Little? We have that in Monk. Washington was just a sophomore, skilled as hell, can shoot, rebound, and can finish easily with either hand.

I'm with you here. They just look like two undersized PF's to me.

Two undersized PF's to go with our two other undersized PF's (Marv and MKG).

Not Little. I would have rather had taken the French guy or Kevin Porter Jr.

High Ceiling for me is a player that possesses some characteristic/trait that ranges from good to elite and can be developed. Physical traits, Basketball Skill, Athleticism.

PJ like Bridges, Cody, etc is just ok in everything and I also don’t see much room for growth. Bacon to me was a high ceiling pick. Monk too. Although they are both trending in different directions.

I think too often people confuse "high ceiling" with lack of skills and/or production in college.

The funny thing is, PJ would've been viewed as a high ceiling guy in last year's draft since he clearly has the physical makeup but didn't have the stats to match. He busts his ass during the summer, puts in a fantastic sophomore campaign, and all of a sudden is a safe/boring/low upside pick

Seems like a solid pick to me. Like a less athletic but more skilled version of Miles.

Still like PJ in a vacuum however. He has the base for a good shot, good handle, all the physical tools check out and it seems like he works hard and gives a damn.

Really has the potential to develop into a solid starter. I think he'll do well here.

The pathetic thing hes only coming out as a sophomore. 4 year player? Yeah, i can get it. People already think hes done developing, etc. Hes only 20 and already more skilled than Bridges who a lot of people (including me) think has significant upside. But Bridges jumps to the moon. Makes sense.

Or confuse “high ceiling” with flash but no substance.

Give me “non-flashy” players like Kawhi and Horford who are loaded with substance but might be considered to lack flash any old day and twice on Sundays.

Washington can pass the ball, I love that. It's an essential skill for all of our players to have if we ever want to play the way Borrego wants us to.
