and again its not about the playoffs w/ these picks but rather the next few years in general...again this is where the great teams eat. The bad teams don't and then wonder why they are stuck in place when injuries and just general stagnation happens.
To build a great team, you have to think about the future and the what ifs.

Last year with no GM they hit on a late 1st, Zhaire looks promising and Shake has the makings of a bench player with a mid second rounder.

How is that a joke? 3 potential players out of 1 draft?

Shamet isn’t here so that doesn’t help. Shake is just potential as with any picks they used.

This team is going to overpay Jimmy, Tobias, JJ, Scott, Boban, and T.J. Then use the taxpayer MLE on God knows what.

That is their great plan.

Charlotte could be pretty bad that year.

I'm not thrilled we've only used 1 pick and we stupidly gave up 33 instead of 34, but I'm okay with that return for 34.

Man, Talen Horton Tucker must be kicking himself for staying in this draft.

Jimmy should just leave TBH, we don't deserve him after this disgrace of a draft.

Bring back Hinkie!!!!

If Bol Bol is a health concern, Hinkie would of drafted him at 24.

I would think you would know that I was kidding about Hinkie

I did, so was I, Hinkie actually would of traded up for Bol Bol.

If we hadn’t given up 33 and 42 that trade for 34 would be a good one. On its own a good trade, in context of the overall night it is utterly confusing.

Yep.
People who think we could form a playoff bench from 2nd round rookies are delusional

Sent from my G3416 using RealGM mobile app

The Raptors just won a championship with key contributions from:
Fred VanVleet (UDFA)
Pascal Siakam (27th pick)
Norman Powell (46th pick)
Danny Green (46th pick)

Oh, and Marc Gasol was the 48th pick in his draft. Lowry was the 24th. Kawhi was drafted 15.

Good GM's and Front Offices maximize their talent by drafting well....not kicking the can down the road and selling picks for money to blow on Greg Monroe's carcass for 2 months.

Just because they traded him doesn't mean they didn't get a big hit with a late 1st round pick. Your statement was their drafting has been a joke. You and several others have said this tonight and you all have overlooked last year's draft results.

Said for a while we'd never win anything with Harris. The guy has no idea how to run a basketball organization. The GM search was a joke, they waited months to even officially name a damn GM last year, they went into the draft without one. That is like amateur hour stuff. Then on the other end, forces the team to sell the damn picks and hires a GM with no experience.

Sure, if they'll agree to it.

You commented on the teams drafting skills, not very logical to say because Shamet isn't here he wasn't a great pick.

Shake is still on a 2-way....so we'd have to convert him first. He signed a 2 year 2-way contract.

Justin James is a fun home run type pick. He's been a deep sleeper for a while.
