I highly doubt we're using that cap space on long-term deals. I fully expect we won't be players in FA. Just play the kids. Have a couple of vets in the locker room and on the bench.

Ojeleye has outplayed his draft position
Williams seems ok.

Guess that covers it.

Vucevic makes no sense for the Lakers. They need to spend the money on guards

Come on guys. We can’t have 4 rookies on the team. People getting upset over the 51th pick after we’ve already drafted 3 guys.

**** that. Just rebuild already. Stop tying up big money and long term deals to all star reserve caliber vets.

we just absolutely blew chunks in this draft by passing on prospects you'd rebuild with. Ainge is incapable of building through the draft. We're in for a long long time of being pretenders until he gets fired or resigns. It's over Anakin!!

I don't necessarily mind any individual pick, but collectively, they kinda make you shake your head. I know you go BPA, but that doesn't mean "best guard skills player available". I like Romeo & Grant as high BBIQ guys, etc. But, we just never draft bigs. And it kills me. Then mobile bigs that can shoot kill us in the playoffs.

So now I'll pivot from hoping this is the year we draft a big I like to the next ritual of thinking we'll make a trade/signing of a big I like and we see where all this guard/wing depth comes in handy.

Couldn't agree more...need to target young guys. Paying a near max contract to a 29 year old borderline all-star center seems pointless. He doesn't get us significantly closer to contention and clogs up cap space down the road assuming he wants 4 years.

"Just happened" to have a career year in a contract year... unlikely he repeats it.

No way we use long-term money on Vucevic.

Edwards and Waters are nice developmental players. I think Waters could be a nice D-League player. Really quick and explosive and a good defender.

Edwards should be on the roster right away as scoring off the bench. I think he gets more minutes this year than Langford and/or Williams.

I would say Wannamaker is done.

Early draft grades.

Most NBA teams, B or A

Celtics F

ESPN F-

Where did everyone go, still more picks to come.

What's the difference between undersized power forwards Eric Paschall and Grant Williams?

Williams went 20 spots in the draft too early?

If Hayward, Tatum and J Brown play 30 minutes a game, how many shooting guard minutes does Romeo get?

Romeo gets none, Smart gets 8 minutes a game at shooting guard.

Guess we lose out to the Lakers again.

If Vucevic lands here, it'll be Fire Ainge. If he lands in LA, however, it'll be Fire Ainge.

I know it's not in the rule book, but don't you sort of need to have a big or two, though?

We went from Anthony Davis to Vucevic. I am going to hurl.

I don’t care how you swing it, if they give Vuc anything more than a 1 year deal it’s a mistake.

Sure. But you don't sign Vucevic to a four-year deal or trade for Capela who has I dunno how many years left on the deal.
Hand out a 1+1 to whoever wants it from FA bigs available. Play more TimeLord.

I really have not seen enough of him to make a call, but he did not look good against the Raptors. The playoffs is where we want players to shine.
