Yeah but that future 2nd rounder that Denver Owned had already cost us 2 millions and a future 2nd rounder

so to get 32 they paid 2 million + 3 future second rounders, they must be on the gerald green crack weed, they have lost a step, lets not even talk about the Hero reach with DOumboya and Langford ono the board...

Heat get a Z minus for this draft, they dont earn nothing...

It has been a horrible draft but Bol Bol was lost the moment we landed the 32nd. We didn’t decide to trade it once we knew Bol was gonna be there

Over the next two seasons, veteran contracts will expire or may be traded for others, but the books will be clear minus the aforementioned core.

bizarre and disappointing draft all in all. Bam, Winslow, Richardson taking leaps is the only thing that can improve this team. A taller tyler johnson doesn't move the needle. Who knows what kind of shape JJ is in. We could have taken that JR Smith salary dump deal and drafted Porter instead.

Then we will land two super stars and be a contender and people calling for Riley’s head will be praising him.
People were also pissed he didn’t pursue Jeff McInnis and Mo Williams...it netted us three rings. I’m ok sucking until summer 2021, maybe some youngsters develop and make us attractive

The direction appears to be: assemble a roster of versatile, cost-controlled young players; some with the potential to be starters on a contending team and others with potential to be solid rotation guys on a good team. And then let the big contracts of guys like Whiteside and Dragic expire while hoping the other big contracts of Dion Waiters and Kelly O become (or in Kelly's case, remain) tradeable by next off-season.

Then, go into the 2020-21 off-season knowing exactly where you stand with your young guys, who will all be on good contracts, so that you maintain both cap space and trade flexibility to become contenders within 1-2 seasons following that. This protects the first-rounders and second-rounders that still have to be traded in the early 2020s.
