I could never tell which one was which but I do remember about both of them in big games is that they would come out of a big game on fire. Couldn't stop them. And then they would go out and be terrible in the and cost their team the game.

Or they would come out, be terrible, then suddenly catch fire and win their team the game.

Should fit right in here.

In a draft that really lacked passing, I think we did to get him late. Plus we will probably get his brother for summer league or gleague if he goes undrafted

Mitch has a good track record with 2nd round picks and the fact that they took him at 36 when there was a good chance hed be there at 52 is a strong vote of confidence by the front office. I still don't really like the pick and would much rather have taken Talen Horton-Tucker, but I'm not going to necessarily write this off as a bad pick right away.

His shooting stroke looks pretty rough in the workout video. I'd be surprised if he makes the team.

Cody Martin is potentially very underrated.

Some interesting Cody Martin shooting numbers (2018-19):
- 95th percentile C&S
- 90th percentile Spot Ups
- 71st percentile OTD
- 35.8% from 3 (Increased % and volume)
- 48.1% from 3 last 17 games (3.2 attempts per game)
And if Cody Martin can shoot NBA 3s, he's VERY intriguing

A 6-foot-6 nominal college point guard who is also an offense + defense player with projectable defensive skills, and a player who could potentially shoot better from 3 if given enough time to improve his jumper and if moved off the ball (since he’s a killer seventeen foot and in, with both touch and hand-eye coordination). The prospect profiles of 3&D players who end up being important, since players like these can participate in offenses and not just finish plays, often enough look a little bit like this one. The key here is that the player absolutely needs to be moved off the ball to have any chance to be successful, but once off-the-ball, he’s skilled enough to legitimately provide an offense options.

Oversize point guard types are always worth a fly.

I have no idea. Brogdon was on the academic honor roll at the University of Virginia and has a master's degree in public policy. He is one smart guy, as you can see any time he steps on the court. I will say that Cody Martin is fairly articulate in his interview, though. In the current NBA, you want players who react quickly, understand defenses on both ends of the court, and make smart decisions. You do not want guys like Nic Batum, who lose their focus somewhere between the second and third quarters and have trouble adjusting to tactical changes.

Martin is a damn good passer for a guy his size, I love him. Mitch found a good one.

I think Mitch meant to pick Caleb Martin who was the 17-18 Mountain West Player of the Year but must have been fatigued when it was time for pick 36 and called in the wrong name.

He’s like Michael Carter-Williams if MCW could dribble, pass, shoot, and defend without fouling.
