For those saying we traded Bol Bol because it was part of Okpala trade...

that seems like bs.

Then why didn't Denver take over at #44?

Why did we get to pick Okpala at #32?

If the trade "hasnt gone through", then why did we show up as the team with the pick at #32, but Denver did not show up at #44?

Nah. Riley deadass traded Bol Bol for a future 2nd and cash. Probably to get Mickey Arison's money back for the cash he spent to get Okpala.

This about sums it up for me. We drafted the Wayne replacement (when we didn't even like playing Wayne all that much last season). Herro will probably be a nice shooter, but we needed upside. Disappointing to see us have the choice of Langford, Sekou, Clarke...and choose none of the above.

Really like the KZ pick, thought for sure he would go in the first round. I stan.

Guess I'll have to add Memphis to the bandwagon watch list next year. And force myself through Celtics highlights to watch Romeo.

Btw, trade Herro.

This whole time..... this whooole time, we were the safe pick team and I remained blind to it. All this time, making fun of teams supposedly afraid to make actual decisions on draft day, and I was just projecting and didn't notice.

Like finding out new and real things 10 years into a marriage. All this time I didn't see it, overlooked some dusty decisions. Hard to believe such a robust and smart team could be simple. Like it's possible to be both obese and malnourished, but you rather believe you're one or the other while you're actually in the thick of it

I can't even say no with heartbreaking dignity. I held on very strong to the mythos of us being calculated risk takers, but it doesn't apply to anything more than disgruntled stars on the market and timely, but safe, risks on undraftees/dleague players

Not sure we would draft a Mitchell in the lotto based on the few talent markers he had. It's all very craggy. finna put on my clothes and b out

Riley thinks he’s still the genius he used to be. He thinks he’s accumulating assets to use in a trade like he did previously with Mourning and Shaq. But nobody wants our crap players. And he thinks he has a coach that players want to play for, like we used to have when Riley was coach. But players know that Spo is an awful coach and nobody wants to play for Miami anymore.

Does Arison have the balls to ask Riley to step down? I doubt it.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Have any of you guys watched Tyler Herro play? Or are you all just assuming because he’s white that he is just a fundamental shooter that stands in the corner? He can fully attack the basket with an array of moves, and a sick euro game. He’s a tremendous pick and roll player.

This is a great pick, we picked up a key player in our youth movement. Winslow, Richardson, Bam, and Herro are everything you need alongside a legit star, and Herro has the legimate shot to be a star with his scoring ability. You guys want to complain about everything.

I saw 1 draft grade rewarding us a C and another a B so the verdict is still out. I'm sure we won't be hearing much from Riley on these selections or why the trade was made which is the elephant in the room.

You’re crazy if you think Spo is an awful coach that nobody wants to play for. We do have assets 5 of them and they will all be under contract for 2021 with perhaps the exception of DJJ at a very low cap figure. When we stand there in 2021 with those 5 young guys and 2 max slots I don’t want y’all praising Riley and Spo, because you can’t think rationally and want a championship now. This team is constructed to come into that offseason the number 1 player in the market, and I’m glad we did nothing tonight stupid to change that. Instead we got the guy we know will be there and have value with upside.

Unfortunately, I give him about 10 games before the fanbase starts to become restless if he isn't shooting lights out from day 1 and playing 30+ minutes.
