Hope he gets enough minutes. Not sure he will with the current roster.

Re: Romeo Langford Thread
Feels like he's the backup Culver pick when Danny couldn't trade up to 4/5. Good size, length, can handle, playmake a little. Seems like he's our high upside pick (which makes sense). The one guy who could be a star, while the rest are solid picks. Makes me wonder about our plans for Brown.

I wanted him, we got him.
A 2-way wing with size whose skill nicely blends with Jaylen's off-ball, transition game and Tatum's mid-post, spot-up game.
Hell yes. I didn't study this draft much at all, but I watched all of the ESPN mock draft and he jumped out at me as our guy.
Part of that was the range he was expected to go, and part of that was he seemed like an Ainge guy (highly touted out of HS), but I love the upside.

He can be a little tunnel - vision - esque , and can be lazy when disengaged on offense or defense but those things can be cleaned up, he has NBA ready finishing skills which is why he was selected
I don't believe in statistics. There are too many factors that can't be measured. You can't measure a ballplayer's heart. -Red Auerbach

I really like that he gets to the free throw line (6.1 attempts per game). The shooting doesn't seem like an issue when you consider his high school percentages and the torn ligament.

He loves the tough fade-away 2s so now we can have someone on the court at all times who loves those.
Not sure this guy can coexist with Terry. Which is fine if the off-season goes the way I hope it goes

Re: Romeo Langford Thread
don't know much about him but can't say i'm excited. a poor shooting SG with tunnel vision and lackadaisical effort.
this is a development project, because he's got a lot of bad habits. lots of upside i suppose, so i guess this is where we're at as a franchise now.

Re: Romeo Langford Thread
I was like, yes yes yes when watching his breakdown video, until they got to his weaknesses. I swear, EVERY one of his weaknesses is the antithesis of EVERYTHING CBS preaches and wants from his players. All 5 of his weakness made me think this isn't a CBS pick, if I had to bet money aint no way I would have seen the pick coming had I done a little research b4 the draft. He is only 19 though, pretty much putty to mold into something beautiful, his strengths and body seems like it could work well for us but he better be pliable!

You would appreciate this. He tore a ligament in his thumb.

Re: Romeo Langford Thread
Id'd take that pick. I like him. Hopefully he puts in the work into his 3 point shot. If he does he should be a star. I like the fact he goes hard.
Good assessment:

Looks great on offence - that quick first step will be great in the NBA. Hopefully he cleans up on the defence, those lapses on D are a concern.

I wish we could have drafted a player named 'Julian' to compliment his name.

Seems like Terry is GONE. So he should get plenty of minutes.

I hope Romeo turns out to be a better player though. Stevens probably likes him and will use him a lot if he is not traded. I liked Keldon Johnson better. He is a bigger Avery Bradley.
Courtney can barely dribble. Langford's game revolves around dribbling. It's his best ability, also Langford has around 7 feet wingspan, and great standing reach for a SG.

His finishing ability and FTA rate makes me cautiously optimistic.

Holy ****. All the things I hated about Kyrie's game and frustrated me about how our team played... he has all of 'em lol.
