Nope, we got next year. Traded 2021.
Edit: so we get to do this all again next year! Argue over tanking, pray to the lotto gods for a miracle, watch another team with similar odds who wins a couple less games get bumped up, have Riley take a player we all had rated lower than a couple others, then we take turns arguing over whether he’s the next coming of a bench scrub, role player or boarder line all-star.
Well how sad is that. Damn
Yeah and then the 2021 offseason comes and you guys look like idiots, and we have 6 starting caliber players on a roster for less than 45 million dollars and no other obligations.
You know who’s a free agent in 2021
The Greek Freak
It’s going to be the biggest class since 2010
We could sell him on
Winslow
Herro
Jrich
Bam
DJJ
Our 2020 first
And another max slot maybe a Lillard, or a Bradley Beal, or perhaps a mix of several other solid rotational pieces
This is where we are headed so if you guys want to panic and act like the sky is falling go find another team.

He's very average, but played his tail off when SC made their run a few years ago. I know he has a cool story too, just don't remember exactly what it is.
Frank is very well connected down here obviously, so not surprised he got his boy a shot.
So now we have
Duncan Robinson
Yante Maten
Tyler Herro
KZ Okpala (on day 2 or 3)
Jeremiah Martin
Chris Silva
Still waiting to see what PG we bring in. Still hoping for Bowman

You did see the report about his medicals revealing that he has the same knee condition as Brandon Roy, but much further along right?
I get it, why not take the shot right? But sometimes guys can’t be saved I’m afraid he’s one of those. Which explains a top 10 talent going mid second round as a flyer

he's in denial,"roster than "grow" yeah me thinks most of the team will be back regardless of any trade attempts that he may try to pull,he might try to con the fans but GMs and owners know what kind of quality players the heat hasDr_Heat wrote:

You need to learn that not everybody can be happy all the time. We can be upset. We can get mad. Been in this situation that long. And we have the right to express this here. If you can't do this.. u can find yourself another forums

This team litterally has no player able to score under pressure...wade is gone, next season should be worse to watch...
Atlanta has a better roster and should pass the Heat next year, Orlando is already better, evan Hornets looks to be better...Heat now lughing stock of south east division...

Yeah but lets not lie to ourselves.
Give this kid a chance. He might be the best thing since slice bread and might be the next Klay Thompson. We just need to find the next Curry
I like Herro, I am rooting for him. I know Kapono didnt live up to his college hype. I am not trying to knock Herro. But he has some glaring deficiencies similar to Kapono. Devin Booker did too coming out of college. To be fair, Kapono biggest problem that killed his career was his lack of taking care of his body. That is why he started to excel in Miami. But the one thing I saw in Booker and Kapono that I havent seen in Herro, was a major elite attribute. Booker had signs of a elite shooter to compensate for his weaknesses. Herro I do not know if I see elite shooting. I see a good shooter. It has nothing to do with him being white. I felt the same way with Deaquan Cook.
Herro does have dribbling concerns and I do hope he improves. I think he has the potential too. I dont think its as bad as Ellington. But I would be more comfortable if the Heat had an elite ball handler. Defensively, man I think that might be the really difficult part. But i am rooting for him.

All i want to see out of Herro this summer is signs that he is an elite shooter not just a good one. Then I can be patient with the rest of the parts of his game improving.

I'd rather we have no one. I can't stand a full season of Waiters jacking up shots

We've been in this situation for like 5 years. Teams like the Knicks and Magic haven't been elite for almost a decade.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft 2.0 - I can be your Herro baby
I think we can all agree at the very least he will be a very good shooter off screens and pin downs and moving off the ball to begin his career. There are a lot of concerns about his body and wingspan but I wonder how would you all feel if you assessed him from a PG perspective as opposed to a SG perspective. Not right away obviously, but if we develop him with that in mind the next 3 years I could see him as a feasible option from there.
I don't want to do this because I know everyone will jump down my throat for even suggesting it but if you think of him as a Steph Curry type of player rather than a Klay Thompson or Devon Booker type I think that comparison from a body type, wingspan and some of the skills perspective makes more sense at a freshman level at college.
Keep in mind Curry played 3 years of college before entering the league at Davidson where he had free reign and had high USG rate of 38.3% his junior year (other years not recorded) where Herro only had almost half that amount at Kentucky with 21%. Curry's freshman season he only averaged 2.8apg, his sophomore season 2.9apg and his junior year he made considerable improvement and got it to 5.6apg, Herro had 2.5apg. I think Curry was and always will be a better ball handler and play maker than Herro but he doesn't necessarily need to be at Curry's level to be more than serviceable at that position.
If he can improve his deficient skills to even a B- version of Curry's then I think that would be great on this team especially when he and Justice would be sharing the ball handling responsibilities down the line.
Learning from Dragic should he stay next season, I could very easily see him becoming a better shooting and off the ball moving version of Dragic with better size and strength at PG.
