Pelicans had such a smart draft. First, it paid to be lucky. Catching Zion was a game changer. The #4 pick was turned into two very good players too. Hayes and Alexander-Walker are going to be great for the Pelicans. To top it off, the Pelicans drafted Didi, one of the best players in Brazil. I expect he will have to work hard to stay in the league, but he is a good player.

NOP: Zion Williamson (1), Jaxson Hayes (8), Nickeil Alexander-Walker (17), Marcos Louzada Silva (35)

Not bad at all.

Also, I love Aubrey Dawkins. He is going to surprise a lot of people!

While I will probably stump for Garland all year, I do agree the FO made the most of the trade down. I like all the picks.

I haven't read anything on Silva yet - any insights on the young Brazilian?

He once dyed his hair bright yellow

Other than that looks generic international shooting guard type

As long as he has a great nickname we can scream every time he does something right, I'm sold.

We have a comic book character Didi too, so his name is twice as cute as it sounds.

Didi is really good from beyond the arc: 73 for 171 this season, which is 42%. That's 48 games so he took a fair number of shots. He was champion in the Sudamericana but Franca bounced out 5th in the Americas. He missed some crucial free throws, though he is generally reliable from the line.

For his team he made 21 points in his first international game against Cordoba.

He is capixaba, which means he is from Espirito Santo, the state northeast of Rio. The ocean can be almost red there (our earth has massive amounts of iron). The team he played on, Franca, the sound "c" is like a "k" in English. It's in São Paulo.

He's young. Just about to turn 20. I'm going to cheer hard for his success.

Do you guys know about Aubrey Dawkins?

Didi is a perfect 3-and-D SG/SF with above average tools. If he keeps developing he can be an elite defender. You guys will be happy with him, I would he's a crossover between Josh Hart and Kent Bazemore
