Its not that he cant play... he can. Hes
was solid. I think Auburn coulda won it all if he hadnt gotten hurt. The pick just makes no sense. I think most agree that the degree of seperation at the middle of the draft wasnt that big. So if thats the case you have to look for small things to make the decision. One thing you could use is positionel need. Or pick the player who doesnt have a torn acl. If theres a cant miss star that plays a position you dont need thats different. Thats not what this is. But clearly we must believe that Okeke is a overall much better prospect then anything on the board. I think thats crazy and I watched him play a bunch. He was never on my radar. I could be proven wrong. This FO gets way to much benifit of the doubt despite doing very little to earn it

Not sure disagreeing with someone warrants laughing at them. No one laughs at you for being such a whiner.

At the forward spot, I don't see him providing the Playmaking/shot creation that this team desperately needs. Thats why even though NAW's ceiling may be a bit lower, his impact on this team would be greater imo since he provides both of those things.

Just a really weird pick imo. We will see what happens in free agency/with Fultz but I'm not expecting much.

I'm all about best player available. Then you select based on fit if a group of players are really close in your ranking. If they believe Okeke is projected to be much better than NAW and his draft position i get it. and from the way Weltman was speaking... it sounds like they project him to be much better than he currently is going into the future.... so there is room to grow. Seems like a defensive... pf version of vuc. plays inside or outide... can drain the three... post up....cut... drive from the perimeter.... and YES... filled a need at the same time... just not the need that we were all thinking of. hahaha

If we come back with vuc and ross.... our depth is gonna be pretty darn good to great next season.

Congrats at being the douche of the day.

I actually like the lineup idea and am pretty positive it is something we could end up seeing.

I get the pick. We have a need there off the bench. Weltman has said repeatedly that you can’t have enough guys that can go out there and guard multiple positions, and chuma does that. He can guard 2-4, even 1-5 on occasion. He doesn’t have many holes in his game and is very polished. Considering he’s only 20 years old, this was a good to great pick IMO. None of those wings screamed starter to me. He could eventually be a starter, should we decide to move in from AG. The roster is more versatile with him. I can envision him playing stretches with AG AND JI, as well as with just one of them. Prototypical player for today’s league.

Let’s see what we do in FA. We have the full MLE to play with at the very least, which starts at about 9M.
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

Can’t wait for this to be a sticking point moving forward. The revisionist history will be terrific.

Well hopefully they don't drop the ball on the press conference. That will look like a Mickey Mouse operation.

Cool hearing that Fultz was one of the guys that reached out to Chuma last night to welcome him to the team. It's nice to know that even though he hasn't been here long, he's still stepping up and being a representative for the team and making sure the new guy is welcomed.
