I'd bet if NOP had taken Chuma @17, they everyone woulda thought they were geniuses! Considering how the draft was going, it's very conceivable Chuma WAS NOP's target @ 17...

Id bet youre wrong
Not one person would even mention the pick on this board, just like how no one has even mentioned Goga Bitadze pick or without looking it up, how many people here can tell me who drafted Grant Williams

He wasnt talked about before the draft (besides one post by Skin, where literally just said his name and nothing else), and if we hadnt picked him, he wouldnt be talked about after the draft either

Gonna call it now, unless we sign a big time FA, next year we will be draft James Wiseman.
I dont know anything about him, but i did all the scouting i need, he has a 7'6 wingspan, so clearly hes our guy next year

BINGO... no one would care. If anything we probably would've said thank goodness we passed on a guy who won't even play in year 1 considering how much help/depth we need for this upcoming year.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

His defense and transition game will be his calling card at the next level.

A great rebounder and defender who needs to find an outside shot to make it in the League.

There are a lot of you guys that are too in to instant gratification and the draft 95% of the time won’t give you that. It’s very rare you find someone outside top 5 who can contribute in a big way out of the gate. It looks like a lot of people moved him down board because he had the acl and I think that is incredibly stupid. If he is a good talent why does it matter I mean **** Issac missed most of his first year and so did Bamba. Also these same people are one ones who want to trade Bamba and Issac after there injury plagued rookie years for pennies on the dollar. Patience is a virtue I think this management and coaching staff has earned the benefit of the doubt bringing us back to the playoffs. Also as seen by how long it took for us to find out who we picked our organization doesn’t leak ****. I hesitate saying this don’t want to get hopes up but maybe Fultz is giving them positive feelings so it makes them feel more comfortable. My overall point is I have come to feel the draft is not for finding a player to come in right away and be our starting PG I think you use it especially outside the lotto as a filling a potential need later.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Yes we got BJ on the summer league team! I hope he has people on the summer league team that can really play. We've had players from our summer league teams in the past that certain guys suck.

Yeah, fortunately he's a guard and SL is very guard oriented so he should be ok for the most part. Just hope guys can finish that he sets up.

Yes. But they already have a ton of lottery picks on their team in addition to landing Zion Williamson. It’s not the same scenario nor is it as cut and dry as that.

No one would care or mention it because this isn't a place where other teams are a focal point to begin with, not because he is isn't a good prospect (which seems to be the implication behind all of this).
