Does getting a second rounder deduct an incomplete roster spot?

Post#1 » by ZKing23 » Fri Jun 21, 2019 7:06 pm

Let’s say a team has several incomplete roster spots. Does getting a second rounder remove an incomplete roster spot for them?

No. Unsigned 2nd rounders don't count on a team's cap at all.

Yes, though obviously once signed, they do. But if they are signed to a min salary deal then their salary is exactly the same as the incomplete roster charge that goes away. So either way they don't change cap room unless they are singed to more then a min salary deal or a team had all their roster spots filled already.
