If serious, this man is a clown. Didn't like living in Boston, but living in Cleveland was delightful? He's embarrassing me. Can we please get some grown ups on this team?

A nitpick for sure but those suburbs are different that Boston and even different than a smaller city like Cambridge.

I think Celtics fans need to chill on losing Kyrie via FA. Players have the right to play anywhere. I honestly see him doing the Celtics a favor here but it will be up to Ainge to do his job well enough to win a 2nd title. Yes, his effort was bad vs the Bucks in the 2nd half of that series on defense at least but he didn't cost the Celtics the series. Only thing he cost the Celtics was a more respectable showing.

Maybe if the guy didn't go out of his way to tell fans he wanted to be here long term. Nobody likes to be jerked around.

It was hilarious when Jackie Mac shared that Kyrie told her he was a 'genius'

Of course Jackie was referring to him not liking living in the BOSTON area because he was playing for the BOSTON Celtics--and free to move into BOSTON proper at any time while his regular workplace was also, this past year, located within the BOSTON city limits.

If Kyrie genuinely said this about Boston the depths of twatishness are getting greater when I thought they had bottomed out.

Ignoring how awesome Boston is (loved it when I visited) especially compared to somewhere like Cleveland or even his native New Jersey, is this seriously where the NBA is now where players are prioritising the city the team is based in and where they could only have to spent a few years of their short career?

In Europe, soccer players quite gladly sign with teams in absolute shithole backwater towns if its a good move career wise with that particular club as you know...the idea is you go to a team that makes sense for your career development/legacy even if the place it’s based in sucks as not only will you be able to afford a mansion in the token affluent suburb but your career is short so you can move wherever the hell you want by the time you are approaching 40.

We can only judge him if he’s actually said this. Part of me thinks we should just forget about him now and laugh at him while moving on, the guy just isn’t worth it. He’s an idiot.

this is not Kyrie, obviously

I don't think it's "obviously" not Kyrie. That guy talks and at times sounds like Kyrie. He has the same cadence and uses a lot of the same words Kyrie uses with regularity.

It's probably not Kyrie, but it is very funny that it's a legitimate possibility.

Off course but there are many people who will almost sound like you or almost sound like me or almost look like me or ... Saying it was 100% him or like me saying it was him not still gives me way better odds :-)

Anyhow, as much as I dislike many of Kyrie’s opinion it’s still just a person who has different tastes or whatever. Des gouts et des couleurs they say here. I dont get the ‘now he can go F his self if he doesnt like it here’ He’s a weird dude I agree and he comes over as a spoiled person yeah but all these reactions actually also make me think hmmm.

In the end its totally his life and his decision you know. In hindsight it was obvious was always gonna south when things go kinda bad, since he was playing with arguably the goat and still wanted to play somewhere else lol.

Not only that he was saying how much he liked Boston, Brad and Danny before the season started. He's a phony.
Good assessment:

Kyrie is much like CP3, not happy at last two stops, and has to realize that the problem is him. Who doesn't get along with Brad Stevens??!
Also, with Jackie sharing the Kyrie comments, it's the typical tactic that once a player leaves, you have to bring up the negative stuff. I read somewhere how the Boston press went easy on Kyrie all year. Now the gloves come off. Lol.

It's a little bit of that, but also it's possible that the press repressed for two years all the negative Irving stuff that's now coming out.

That being said, nothing negative is surfacing about Horford. Guess that tells us something about how different these two players are.

Feelings? Really? Of course he can do what he wants, when he wants. But this is just pathetic if true. And I'm pretty sure fans don't give a flying **** he's leaving. I sure don't. And I thought maybe he was staying up until a few weeks ago.
Fans give a flying ****. Look how personal people are taking this

Unfortunately not every NBA town can be the nirvana that West Orange is.

Kyrie can fool middle America with his half baked genius act.

Not Boston.

That's what he didn't like. He wasn't fooling anyone here.

I take his Boston bashing comments to be a cover for him knowing his teammates hated him -- and so he didn't want to re-sign with the team simply out of that.

And in the NBA Kyrie's last two stops have also been his first two stops.

**** this guy all the way to NBA obscurity. Can’t wait to beat his ass on the court every time we play. Our core all hates him, should be fun times.

They've both got egos, but CP3 is the anti-Kyrie man. CP3 speaks out against teammates being ball/shot dominant and not playing within the team - and he is confrontational about it. Kyrie takes offense to being disliked, takes offense to being challenged and being asked to be less ball/shot dominant, and instead of confronting these issues he plays passive aggressive mind games.
