Kings take Kyle Guy at #55
Had some huge moments in the tourney, you know he's got a steady hand. Can shoot the lights out. The only guy (no pun intended) to work out for us twice, what do you think?

Much better pick than the joke of a pick of James. I'll take it.

Looks excellent coming off screens and shooting off balance 3s. Signs of a great shooter and he had a couple of monster games in the tourney.

I'm annoyed to cash consideration back for him.
But he has an elite skill, shooting, and looks like he may be also able to get to the rim.
You grab someone at 55 with an elite skill, can't complain.

Re: Kings take Kyle Guy at #55
Similar to what I said in the thread about James, the Kings definitely have a thing for players with high stamina, and Guy is someone who was available to play pretty much every minute (38 minutes per game in March/April) while running around a lot on offense. I actually remember some interview with Fox where I'm fuzzy on the details but he seemed to hold Guy in high regard from playing in high school events.
It's kind of a parody that the Kings take players from the winningest college programs, but that approach is fine with me (especially when just taking a shot in the 2nd round) and I think it contributes to the culture they're trying to build. Plus for a franchise that has a hard time attracting free agents or even getting players to work out for them predraft, it's good to have players who are friends/former teammates with other players who come from the NBA factory schools and can put in a good word about playing for the Kings.

All of this.

Guy is undersized but has a huge heart and will work extremely hard...I was hoping the Pacers at 50 would give the Indiana native a shot but hey atleast you guys saved him from our (the Pacers) hated rival the Knicks...I think you guys will be happy with the motor this kid has
Once they have that golden shining moment and it comes to them in a dream or whatever and they understand that, that's when this team and this franchise will go to another level from where it was when I was here.

He's not going to see the court this year. Stockton bound. Not entirely comfortable on his left as a facilitator. Is a shot maker. Going to need to develop his PG skills before he becomes a depth guard. Best case scenario: Steve Kerr/John Barry/Mad Max.

Vlade said Guy is a SG right now. Maybe one day he can develop point guards skills.
I agree Guy is Stockton bound.

He better. History is not too kind to small SG's who can't play on the ball. Even the ones that do are exceedingly rare.
