Our team, Chris Paul, the 2012 draft, and now Zion. The hate I have for the Pelicans is unhealthy.

Weird exchange in that tweet with the Panthers giving him a jersey. Makes me think their response was fair game.

If there is any karmic justice in the world Zion Williamson will win a championship with the Hornets one day.

There's nothing wrong with the Panthers being proud of the great athletes that grew up in the area. Are the 49ers this petty about Curry's connection to NC/Charlotte and his love for the Panthers? And that's not even considering how much good fortune they've had at Charlotte's expense.

He’s being heavily dramatic. There were so many big men picked last year. Why would teams pick the same exact player the following year oh wait......................

I am gonna shock the world with this statement but, I am predicting that the LAST pick #60 Vanja Marinkovic will have a better career than the 1st pick Zion WIlliamson in the 2019 NBA draft. I am not saying that as a diss to Zion, I just believe in Vanja.

So I have 6 bold predictions.

#1 - Vanja Marinkovic will have a better career than Zion Williamson

#2 - Jalen McDaniels will have a better career than PJ Washington and Cody Martin

#3 - BJ Taylor (if signed will be one of the better pg's in the league)

#4 - Joshua Obeishie (if signed) will be a highly coveted player

#5 - YuTa Watanabe will start to make progress and get known a bit

#6 - Vince Edwards will prove to be a useful NBA pro

When BOS passed on Bruno at 33, I thought he would fall to us. Couldn't see PHI taking Bruno since they have Embiid, so was shocked when they took him. Just found out this morning that PHI traded him to ATL (somehow missed that announcement Thur night), which makes a lot more sense - Bruno enviable fit with that ATL roster build - but pisses me off. ATL poached Bruno! Someone posted they missed the days when the Nets were a trainwreck. I am feeling the same way about ATL.

some other draft thoughts:

PHX essentially traded down from Coby White to make Ty Jerome their PG

Romeo Langford doesn't seem like BOS type; guess they're looking to replace Kyrie's offense

Surprised WAS took Rui over Sekou (DET); their team fits seem backwards, feels like it should be Rui-DET, Sekou-WAS

Chuma Okeke to ORL at 16 surprised me, thought he'd go 2nd rd with injury, plus already have Gordon and Isaac - though he does seem like an ORL kind of guy

Spurs with another sneaky good draft: Samanic, Keldon Johnson and Quinndary Weatherspoon are going to look really good in the SA system

NOP picked Alen Smailagic at 39 then traded him to GS. GS got their man.

It's kinda unfair that my players didn't get drafted so I have no way of seeing how I am as a GM. This would be my roster if I were GM

Kemba / NAW
Zhairre / Marinkovic
Bacon / Lamb
YuTa / Frank
Cook / Biz

Cook got picked up for summer leage by Denver so I don't need a replacement for him but I need one for Obeisie, so I will sub Marinkovic in for Obeisie (at least until if or when Obeisie gets a Summer League invite or G-league etc...) then after I will put him back in my line-up.

I think you'd really enjoy working for the Swarm in Greensboro UNCNYC. Your enthusiasm for players on the margin for making it into the NBA would be a big boost to those guys.

I think it comes from often being an underdog myself and having compassion for those less fortunate makes me gravitate towards underdogs.

Not true. That would only be true if all the GM's who drated drated quality players. The majority of GM's are fired within a few years because they do poor jobs so to say that because my players go undrafted means I am a poor GM is not a good argument went most GM's perform poorly.

Grant Williams and kz. Give KZ a couple of years for the Heat and then I think he's going to turn into a real player that's going to annoy the hell out of us for many years. I was watching a special last night it was a draft recap of Pac-12 players hosted by Don McLean. I did not realize that the former NBA player Don McLean is apparently some draft preparation Guru and all kinds of his former students have turned out to be studs and rapidly improve their draft stock while working out for him prior to the draft. Anyway this past year he worked out Coby white KZ a couple of other dudes. He was raving about KZ and said that he's never seen anyone at his size who could handle the ball as well as he does. And of course he gets drafted by the heat who have a long history of developing players. I can't really say much about many of the other people that's draft cuz I did little to no draft research and watched no college basketball, but I did come away from that program feeling really good about KZ and wished we would have found a way to have traded up in the second round to snag him.

It stands to reason that if they were that good, they'd catch on somewhere.

Last few predictions

1. Kenny Williams will have just as good a career as the Tar Heels that went drafted.

2. V.J. King will be almost as valuable as R.J. Barrett for the Knicks

3. B.J. Taylor will be the 2nd best PG to come out of this draft behind NAW

4. Justin James will remind us of a valuable C.D.R. type player (who goes by a totally different name now)
Who I am watching a documentary on as I type lol

5. William McDowell White (if he can overcome injuries) will be a baller.

6. Kerwin Roach will be super fun to watch

7. Tyler Cook will be better than Bol Bol, Bruno Fernando, and Brandon Clarke

8. Theo Pinson will land a spot on an NBA roster this year and contribute

9. Jordan Poole and Eric Paschall Will be great replacements for the splash brothers and Draymond when they sit on the bench

Players to root for - Brandon Anthony, Josh Reaves, Xavier Sneed, Zylan Cheatham
