Yeah, his release is high and consistent. With his wingspan he'll be able to shoot over just about any defender that covers him outside of bigs.

Only the long freaks like Paul George, Giannis, Kawhi, and Simmons will be able to get their hands high enough to bother his shot.

I particularly loved that sequence where he tried to post up, saw the defense collapse on him, so he quickly passed it out, leaked out to the 3 point line, and got ready to shoot. That was professional level positioning and awareness.

I see his basement as DJ White, his floor as Marv/Tolliver and his ceiling as A modern day David West. Not a very exciting prospect. The last time there was this little buzz or excitement around a prospect was the Henderson pick back in 09

Washington seems like he could develop into a very good pick-and-roll player who can flare out to 18 feet and hit that jumper consistently. He also scores well going to the basket, though he could develop more of a post game. Obviously, a lot depends on his development moving forward, but it is promising how Washington changed his shooting mechanics in his sophomore season at Kentucky (he looked slightly awkward shooting as a freshman, particularly with his release).

I know opinions are opinions, but I was more responding to you making it seem like I was complaining about drafting a player who is guaranteed to end up as David West with a 3 shot. If he becomes that then this is the Hornets best draft since Kemba. I just think that outcome is very unlikely
