Do you just come on the board to troll people? I'm mean why bother? Gee, let's hate watch the team and troll everyone who thinks anything is possibly good because they must be stupid. Wow, must be a wonderful way to spend your time.

I know you'll likely come back super defensive calling me Chief or some other variant, claiming that an insider purported that this pick is for someone else. Sorry, go back to your hobby of hating life as a Celtics' fan it must be delightfully fulfilling for you.

It was a legitimate question. I'm sorry you are offended by a question a fellow Celtic posed but it was a rumor I heard and was hoping to get clarification on.

Hmmmmm yeah, looked super well thought out and considered as you couldn't even be bothered to throw a question mark to the back end of your sentence. There are better ways to take your aggression, probably more healthily as well. It's not like this is a one post thing in this one thread. I'm not offended at all, please why don't you further your point. What kind of package do you think he's involved in? Which team do you think would want this player? Who's system do you think he'll fit into better than the Celtics? Right, I'm sure you were really grinding your gears about your engaging post.

You seem upset by something, you dont need to take it out on me.

I let go of your passive remarks about my fandom too. Its gonna be ok.

Clearly Marcus smart. With all his awesome ball handling skills and great turnover ratio, I expect him to make first team all pro.

Not that clear when you write "rookie point guard?" Do you follow the team? He did make first team all defense, but you probably missed that?

Larry Hughes is an interesting comp for Romeo. Ball-handling, slashing wing with accuracy issues from deep. Hughes bouncier and a more natural passer, Langford thicker and stronger with I think better scoring ability.

One other, albeit less exciting, comp for Langford would be John Salmons. Very similar size/build, solid defender, ability to play a bit on or off the ball, had questions coming in on ability to hit the 3 and was never a true knockdown perimeter shooter. He ultimately had some really nice years in his prime, though not necessarily a guy people pine for as a comp.

The thing about Langford is that he smooth. He never seems rushed. Even when he misses. I think he has star potential. He could get about 15min/game his rookie year. He also seems like a good kid.

As others have said this is a classic Ainge potential pick, which is hard to argue against in a weak draft.

Pretty much the same deal as Tatum and Brown - Elite high school prospect, with great physical tools, shot creators (or labeled as iso scorers if you want to be more negative), who struggled a with efficiency at the college level. Tatum and Brown were bigger name prospects with greater physical tools, which is is why they were drafted higher, but Langford is no slouch in that regard.

He might take a while to refine, but we thought Jaylen was 2 years away when he was draft and he contributed pretty quickly. It's about putting guys in the right role to succeed, which is something Stevens excels at.

Trying to get on board with this pick, and it may be that Romeo slid a bit because of the injury, so we’ll see how he is after the thumb heals.

But I’ll be keeping an eye on Sekou Doumbouya, too.

I said it draft night but i see so much of Tyreke Evans in him. Probably not the vision, but similar style/build/athleticism.

There's a photo in this article of our four draft picks standing together in the Celtics' Auerbach Center. Langford, who is supposedly 6'6" tall is next to Grant Williams, who is 6'7" tall. Man! He doesn't seem much taller than Carsen Edwards! Even taking perspective into consideration, his height seems overstated. What does anyone else think?

Williams was measured at the combine so we don’t really have to speculate.

It really is offseason. Here we are again with determining players' actual height by analyzing photos.

Not much "analysis" needed. Just a quick eyeball. According to combine height measurements, Williams has an inch and a half on Langford (both measured with shoes on). Williams 6'7.5", and Langford 6'6". I won't argue with that. It's just that the photo made it seem like the gap was wider. :)
