I'm surprised they didn't have a more prolific undrafted rookie class considering they have so many openings. Tony Wroten is intriguing but he's never been able to shoot threes consistently. I guess we're looking at Robinson as already on team and Matthews on a 2-way deal. Hachirmua and Schofield on the regular roster. So maybe there are one or two spots available though I'm sure Shep will add a few low-priced FAs to fill out the roster.

True, I was very interested in Ky Bowman, who signed with Golden State. Especially considering Wall is injured, and Satoransky is a FA.

I think we ill be a top 4 or 5 summer league team. Pelicans and hawks will be tough.

Better bring in some pgs—do we know when it starts for the Wiz?

I was pretty disappointed we didn’t sign Chris Choizza to the roster last year. Seemed like in summer league and with the Go Go, every time I saw him he just made everyone around him better.

A lot of guys who already have deals anda lot of gogos but id keep my eye on Thompson iv and John egbunu

Thompson was a rebounding machine in college and before egbunu but his knee he had some real promise if health he might be a nice scrap heap find.

Tony Wroten's NBA career is pretty ugly:

He does get to the FT line a lot, but, my God, the shooting and turnovers!

I'll tell you, we have some intriguing combo guards.
Sanon, Robinson, Corey Davis... and also Dontay Caruthers. 5th year Senior who dedicated himself to Defense the last couple years after transferring to Buffalo under Lindsay Hunter. He had a few stress fractures (Just like Beal), and then he transferred and Hunter really got on him and his whole mentality changed

Shot 62/41/73 his last two years with a TS of 65%.. so clearly gets it done on the offensive end (His original specialty)... But I love that accumulates the steals/rebounds/assist:
But as a fifth-year senior, the 23-year-old has 23 steals, 66 assists and 46 defensive rebounds and averages 22.8 minutes off the bench. He also has drawn a team-high 18 charges.

In the type of sequence that has become typical, Caruthers grabbed a defensive rebound six minutes into Tuesday's game against Ball State and ran it up the court for a basket off a fast break. Twenty-two seconds later, he drew a charge against Cardinals guard K.J. Walton that gave possession back to the Bulls.

Thats the type of player that makes people around him better and the summer league games process better.

I don't think Sannon is playing in summer league.

Why do you say that? He's in the mini-camp. He's been in DC the last 3 weeks.

Leonsis might just want to lock Tommy Sheppard up if he hits on the Tarik Phillip signing.

From what I read, the signing was based on analytics.

Will be following Tarik Phillip, Armoni Brooks, Rui Hacimura, Admiral Schofield, and Justin Robinson the closest.

I was a big Withey fan when he came out of college. He's had some serious off-court issues - hopefully he's matured and learned from them and comes in with a good attitude.

That guy should consider coaching. I didn't watch a lot, but when I did, he always stood out looking like the smartest player on the court (and the smallest).

I think he's more likely going to hit on the Robinson signing. Phillip seems like a duplicate of Chasson Randle.

We'll have a bunch of solid PG's in camp - that's often the key to having a good SL camp, so I'm expecting the team will do well.

Phillip seems to have more flair to his game; Randle was kind of just a spot-up, three-point shooter, who brought the ball up the court.

Phillip looks the part of a willing passer, who can hit the three, and create something off the dribble for himself and others.
