Fact that the team he just won a ring with is having to pitch to him means he'd be out of Toronto if the Raptors flamed out early in the playoffs.

I guess you can take the boy out of California but you can't take the California out of the man.

Either that or his gf/fiance/baby momma/wife is the one wearing the pants in that relationship.

Speculation is that he'll do a 1+1, which is somewhat risky with his health history. But at best he might only give the Raptors one more year.

And thats we will be happy with...1+1 or whatever...In 2020 Lowry Ibaka Gasol expire..we will either fill it with 2 max contracts if we still have Kawhi pass 2020..or completely rebuild Around Siakam OG and VanVleet adding again 2 max contracts or 3-4 excellent players.
However you look at it our future is bright..and all we need is a chance to defend the title next year with Kawhi.

After that he can be all yours:) if he wants to

Notice the wording. Hoops Central said Southern California, not specifically the Clippers. This was a deliberate attempt to make the Lakers appear as "also interested." Nothing more than to deter the Clipper's chances at becoming greater, keeping them in the cellar for years to come. They did try to pry Doc Rivers away from the Clippers a few months back.
