When was the last time you checked snell's contract and his on court production? He is a 10th player at best, in his best days being paid as a good starter.

Still. Jon Leuer was not deserving of being on the team.
And who's to say Snell starts. Offseason just getting started. Snell will make a solid contribution either way. He'll be our new Bullock

Leuer was an expiring contract. Bullock is a million times better than Snell. Snell's comparisson is GRIII not Bullock.

Next offseason, this clown who's running our team will continue to say the same thing. We don't have cap flexibility, we can't do anything. Meanwhile, he'll continue to get paid and blame SVG.

What this FO did during the draft can't be serious. They took on a lot of money to get the crap #30 pick, and then they gave away the #30 pick, just like they gave away Bullock for absolutely nothing last season.

I was happy to read we're going to trade Galloway, but honstly, I'm scared to see what will happen, at this point I have absolutely no doubt we'll be robbed every trade we make.

Agreed. Bullock is a lot better and would have been cheaper than Snell.

Still not sure what the FO did here. Why give away Bullock and why make all the garbage trades during the draft?

I hear what you're saying but what I meant about Bullock was he was a nobody before Blake and when he was traded to Lakers. He played great for us. I could see Snell fitting into that kind of role.
We got a 2nd and SVI. I like what Ed is attempting to do. Hes giving himself opportunities to come across gems. Holding onto Bullock we would have just lost him for nothing this summer. Especially how well he was playing for us. His poor showing on the Lakers has dropped his value again.
Fingers crossed we get something for Galloway

Are we sure Tony Snell isnt' any good? He seems like the type that can play he just has been behind all-stars in Milwaukee.

We don't yet have Bullock's new contract numbers so we can't make an accurate comparison just yet.

However, I'm pretty confident Reggie won't be getting anything near what Snell makes. So its going to be interesting to evaluate if Detroit would have been better off just keeping Bullock.

Was resigning Bullock + #45 > Snell + Draft and stash Sirvydis+ 2way Bone + LAL 2nd that is looking to be in the 50's + Distant Portland 2nd?

If Reggie signs for something like $5 mil annually, that would have opened up $7 mil of cap space in 2020 over getting Snell. Detroit easily could have gotten comparable "assets" to what the Snell trade brought in using that additional cap space Bullock would have represented.

Yes, the great all star Sterling Bown and the super star Pat Connaughton (he played great, not hating on him)

Svi is not an NBA player, and very likely he will never be . The Lakers 2nd will be a late 2nd, we'll get a 2 way contract type of guy. That's 0 value for a starter, who would at very least have helped us a lot in the playoffs last season. If we could've paired Bullock and Ellington and bring Kennard off the bench and Bruce Brown as defensive specialist, that would've been a competent wing rotation.

We were losing him for nothing and he wouldn’t of put a dent in the playoff outcome. I don’t know why your even worried about us trading away Bullock still lol

Go sign him for the min now if you want cause nobody’s paying the guy big bucks or anything

Snell is a better defender than Bullock.

Snell is paid something like 12 and 14 mil. While Bullock was on a 2.5 mil contract. We're is a terrible financial situation, Snell is making it a lot worse. Leuer is a bum, but he was an expiring. He had value.

If a player making 12 million dollars just falling out of the rotation isn't a gigantic red flag, then I don't know what is.

Man, that's some crazy deja vu going on in the above posts.

But yeah, people shouldn't just ignore the fact that Snell was OUT of the playoff rotation.

He's still not as useless as Jon Leuer, but again, that's not exactly a ringing endorsement.

At the end of the day all you want is talent minus character issues.

Tony Snell was injured for much of last year... sometimes it can take time to get back into rythym especially on a winning team.

It would have been nice to keep Kevin Porter Jr. but like I said character flags can bite you in the end.

Sekou D.
Deividas Sirvydys
Louis King

That's 3 6'8 or 6'9 guys whose strength is shooting. Sekou has a set shot and is super athletic. Deividas is an all around shooter. Louis is a scorer off the dribble that just led his team to the sweet 16 as a freshman. That's 3 young guys with talent and no red flag character issues that don't even have their muscles yet.

Plus Jordan Bone
An pg that can get wherever he wants on the court, on an upswing in skill, that by all accounts is underrated. And he ran a productive offense feeding a player of the year candidate, and had a high assist/to ratio.

I think its okay to be satisfied with what the front office has done with what they got. Definitely feels a lot better than the past 5 years. It feels like an actual plan for the future.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

LOL, I have no idea how that happened. Every single revision and screw up I made, ended up getting a separate post.

Have you watched him playing for us and for the Lakers? Or you only watched highlights and/or Summer League? Svi is a one dimensional shooter, who can't shoot against NBA competition. He is GLeague material.

it's not my intent to pick a fight with you Vege. I was only wondering what film on him have you seen that I haven't seen. I admit that the only film I've seen are his highlight films from Kansas and the Lakers and I believe he only played one game for us so I didn't know we had any film on him I did look at his stats from the G league and it looks like he presented himself very well my opinion of him is that he represents the best 2 sg that we have to me he is better than Luke Kennard and Bullock I was just wondering what other people's opinion are of him

Actual high lights start at :30 seconds or so. Tony snell looking sharp. Driving to the hoop dunking over guys. A few corner threes. An acrobatic lay up.

In that game he did stuff Ellington and Galloway can't do. Go to the hoop, go over people and get points.

Ellington and Galloway had plenty of strong shooting nights but thats it.

Plus Snell should provide better defense than those two.

Still I realize its not a great move but all hope is not lost! Haha. Or im trying to find something positive.
