If a player of DLo's caliber is available, you do it 100%. I just don't see the Nets letting an asset like that walk away.

Assuming his rights are renounced, we have to do it and role with that group. Otherwise, we're still looking to find that star. Not saying Dlo will be, but we'd have to hope so and we ain't getting them any other way.

Over pay for Brogdon and hope Bucks do not match or go after Pat Bev. That is what the Suns should do, but I know it won't happen.

I’d be interested to hear if anyone prefers DLo over Brogdon, assuming you can get both.

If there are no better players, yes. But reluctantly, we need more defense on the team.

Brogdon is a solid bench guy. Why would you pay him so much money. He’s not better for the culture than a pat Beverly and he’s not better skill wise than DLo. It’s either spend the money on DLo or some on Bev and another vet. Brogdon is gonna tie up money for 3 days and get matches no matter what. Leave Brogdon alone I think

I think we should throw all our money at a guy like Trevor Ariza and have him be our primary FA target.

Just more speculation but indicates that if Kyrie goes to Bkn that Suns are strong possibility: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2842674-dangelo-russell-rumors-suns-devin-booker-campaigned-latest-on-lakers-reunion

This being the line of interest: "Other possibilities [besides the Suns] are the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks, though both seem like long shots"

Edit: looks like his analysis is based mostly on this: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/27037915/kyrie-dangelo-how-brooklyn-handle-difficult-decision

F it. DLo

We've been patient for almost a decade and save for a fluke season, we've been absolutely mediocre. I'm not particularly confident that continued patience would necessarily yield the desired results. We've tried tanking and we've tried to rebuild on the fly by signing complementary pieces but what we haven't really succeeded in is signing a big time FA. DLo happens to be a big time FA this off season.

I like Brogdon more but it seems like a pipe dream. DLo is 23 coming off a great year, and isn't done developing as a player. Would love to have him here.

Hard no. I don't think anyone factors the treatment the Suns get from refs when discussing trades. Just imagine Draymond Green in a Suns uniform brutalizing opponents and then barking or whining to refs ....instant ejection. The popularity/star factor drops significantly when it comes to the Suns. So - substance over appearance every day. Max money for Russel is a waste. This team needs to grow by gritting and grinding and playing together.

Adding Dlo gives us 3 potential all stars and two very solid role players in our starting lineup:

Dlo
Book
Oubre
Saric
Ayton

Then add Bridges, Baynes, and hopefully some halfway decent free aqent point guard and all of a sudden, we have a damn good team on paper. 8 deep.
