If he wants to get guys like Justin Gaethje who just stand and bang, then so be it. Dana has said it many times, he wants exciting fighters and guys that try to finish the fights. I think Dana is a D bag, but don't really get the backlash on this one.

I watched it. The guy was in a pretty exciting fight and went for the finish before that point. His opponent was just durable and he looked to ice it in a few seconds at the end of a 15-minute fight where he was clearing winning and didn't want to risk getting ko'ed in a brawl at which point he'd lose more than a contract. I thought he was 50/50 when it comes to deserving the contract on performance. I just think the stated criteria is narrow-minded, and having an Ali client on the card was a factor in somewhat of a zero-sum game.

Bellator would be smart to invite him to their fw grand prix in October and announce it at their London event this weekend. They're building a market in England w/ the BAMMA acquisition, Sky Sports' deal, and UFC dropping off on their focus in the area.

Elkins vs Ryan Hall in July on a card of otherwise nonsense. Give them the main event.

Me, emotions and vagaries, begging the Good Lord for an Artem win tonight.

I can't believe what an unstable, pathetic POS Paulie has been in response to that sparring footage being released. He's become completely obsessed with Conor. I don't know if anyone heard the bit where he was implying Conor is gay on the down-low...but it was one of the most sickening bits of smarmy passive-aggressiveness you could think up. The pretext was how tolerant he is of gay dudes, him attempting to sooth Conor for the lifestyle.

The stuff about wanting to put Artem in a coma, then spitting on him, his mother...it's insane.

Meanwhile, if he gets his **** effed up tonight, LOL...he'd never live it down. It would be a really suitable justice. He would have gone from a highly respected statesman of boxing to an utter shame. All because he couldn't handle a few seconds of selective sparring footage.

It was no Artem vs Knight kind of fight. It was more Paulie just jabbing and moving away. Artem won because he was the aggressor.

But ya I'm glad Paulie lost and got a nice piece of humble pie. And Artem needs to just return to the UFC. I don't think BKF is going to last long.

Why is everyone spitting out results from Bellator and UFC fights here? WTF? There are threads, dudes. You're spoiling fights.

I'm so **** happy. Over at BoxingScene (the Sherdog of boxing fans), almost everyone concedes that Paulie lost and they are all calling him an outright shame to the sport. He stunk it up last night.

The excuses from him are pathetic. He's 38, he hurt his hands - not just his right but his left is really sore (no ****, really?)...these are additional embarrassments. Especially with all his criticisms of MMA. How many countless times have MMA fighters continued to throw and land outright (later diagnosed) hands?

And then he's somehow trumpeting that he was a two-time champion, how can the judges not give him the decision?

Baroni and Mayhem (Mayhem phoning from jail) on MMA Roasted was pretty great. Tidbits:

-Baroni said Robert Drysdale is the best grappler he's ever rolled with. That he taps Mir. Physically strong too (we know why).

-Funny stories about Randleman. That Coleman had taken him under his wing as a HSer. But that Mark would pick him up and, instead of going to practice, they'd just go lift weights. Forget technique, strength and explosiveness.

-That Randleman hated Tito so much. He was watching a PPV (from his home) where Tito disrespected Coleman after his fight. Kevin got up and started running towards the arena to kick Tito's ass. His wife had to chase him with the car.

I suppose the thread in all of these stores is heavy roid use.

Its wild that everyone (Diaz c2006 aside) has respect for Robbie Lawler.

I'm trying to think if there's anyone a big enough miscreant to disrespect Lawler. Prolly only a Diaz.

Diaz also hates GSP, who is probably the other most respected/liked fighter in MMA. Even Koscheck and GSP are on good terms now.

It speaks to the level of douche the Diaz brothers are.
