I hope we won't lay expectations on this young man that he has no chance whatever to fulfill -- he averaged 6.8 assists per 40 minutes last year.. I hope he can play at some NBA level, any NBA level.
Which doesn't mean he won't blow us all out of the water by being great. Just that nothing indicates that as likely.
It's not Robinson's numbers it's his vision that I'm most impressed by. But 6.8 ain't bad for college.
But I agree that expectations have to be kept in check...at least for the time being.
But wait, I say, wait! Not so fast. I just went & watched his highlights from the season, from the portsmouth invitational, & an interview with him after his workout for the pacers. Now I love him.
Ok... it's highlights! I mean, he looks like the 2d coming of Steph! Which I think we can assume he's not.
Size will work against him, but he's a dynamic player, an excellent scorer, looks to be quite a good athlete, & he is an exceptionally smart & composed young man.
If he doesn't stick with the team, & given part of his salary is guaranteed, maybe he can be our GM?
