Apologies on wandering in here from the Celtics board.
However, I appear to have developed a man crush on Jaren Jackson Jnr.
It would be enough if he was young, defensively both capable and versatile, and offensively capable of creating space.
It would be enough if he was hard working and invested.
Now he also seems like a great teammate?
I loved having Al Horford on the Celtics for all these reasons. I can only look with envy at your young big man. And your organisation did a nice job at the draft too.
Kudos. League Pass here we come.

Appreciate it! It is weird to have our front office looked favorable upon haha. But yeah JJJ is incredible. Hopefully he puts it all together and is able to consistent perform. Some of the flashes he has shown have been unreal.

Great first piece because it's so easy to add other pieces around him. Plays both ends, versatile, etc.
I like your draft this year too. Didn't outsmart yourselves, drafted guys with good talent, and good fits. Couple of good wings and you're away.

I'd LOVE to grab Miles Bridges from Charlotte and then target a SG in the next draft or two (whenever we keep our pick). Ja/JJJ seems like it should be a really good pairing. Our rebuild took a potentially massive step forward if Ja and Clarke pan out. It was looking pretty bleak before that.

That makes sense. I am a believer in Clarke (as a starter, not a star) and think he;
1) makes sense with a stretch 4/5 and a legit big (thinking JV here)
2) makes sense with a young Point who will have some defensive challenges.
Was hoping we'd get him, although Grant Williams is such a likeable guy I'm trying to talk myself into being satisfied.
I think Ja gives you a creator (raw, but Im a believer that skill translates quickly). Whether he gets his head around defence and spacing will matter, but I can't see him not being a creator. One of your wings can be a pretty limited shooter type, I guess. 3 and D would be perfect. Other probably has to be a secondary creator, with some shooting.

-I agree Clarke won't ever be a star. He could be a high-end role player who along with Jaren create one of the best defensive front court pairings.
-Ja's passing/playmaking should translate fine. His shot and defense remain to be seen but I have hope they'll develop though never be elite.
-I feel like a 3&D guard to pair with Ja and help cover for him defensively would be good. The other wing player I agree needs to have some playmaking and be more well-rounded. Probably needs to be a good scorer. Luckily JJJ and maybe Clarke can mildly handle the ball. Not elite but can provide occasional playmaking when needed.

Hey, makes sense to me. I'll leave you guys be, but thanks for the chat. I like dropping in on other boards from time to time. I learn a lot.
