Do what you want with this info, but my friend's father is really good friends with Kyrie's uncle - and has been telling him Nets all along. My friend told me in March that he plans on going there before the Nets rumors even picked up - I thought he was crazy I laughed at him. Just doesn't make sense to me, but whatever happens, happens.

Who on here truly believes that the Knicks showed their full ability on the court last year? They were put in position to be competitive but not to win. That year of experience for the young guys, Barrett playing up to the level that many expect: ROY, and a veteran free agent player and this team could have entirely different results at the end of next season. Remove the hunt for the lottery and see what happens.

To kd..... worth the risk imo he’s at least going to be worth say 20mill a year type player if he isn’t himself worse case scenario he’ll at least be top 25 at the very least.. and then also after a year of playing with only two years left he’ll be tradable imo at age 33, it’s nit like it’s a total loss if he isn’t the exact same. That’s the worse case scenario imo. I’d take the risk

Earliest Durant would be back is for the 2020/2021 season.

So he'd be getting paid 164.5 million dollars if he signed a max deal with us.

For 3 years of service at the MOST, that comes out to 55 million per year for his POTENTIAL on court play, not knowing how much he'd be able to fully recover from such a devastating injury.

That's 40% of our cap on a 30 something year old guy coming off an Achilles rupture.
