It’s about Kawhi’s mind though.

Cap and I have already co-opted any explanation you could provide.

We're building an Iggyfied lizard army.

Now scram!

Just like how the church corrupted Jesus' true message preferring to worship the death cult idol they created instead so don't want to do what Jesus preached.... :o

Obey the lizards.

I am not so sure this is a wise decision for the franchise, but I get sticking to the decision IF this is indeed the case.

The alternative is not signing a guy who we had a wink wink deal with, and running the risk of future FA's not trusting the organization.

Tough spot to be in, especially when you are trying to strengthen the way the organization is viewed by players. I am sure if this is the case, we were more sick than GS when the injury took place.... and they had a ring on the line.

EDITED TO ADD: Hi Shamgod.... :D

F dat..we have the right to back out for the betterment of our team. Nobody could foresee the achillies injury happenining. It's just business if we re nig.. I'm sure players and agents would understand

Still makes no sense. Jay z has little to do with the day to day operations of the Nets. all of a sudden he swoops in and convinces Durant to go to BK?

Jay Z doesn't even own any of the Nets anymore. I believe he still owns a very small stake of the Barclays Center though.

FWIW, Durant and his agent are still under the Roc Nation umbrella.

I’d rather have a cordial decline meeting with Kawhi than a successful one with Kyrie.

I actually agree with him in part. Obviously, that's how teams are thinking but you don't want it in public as it's slightly embarrassing/damaging to Durant's FA bid to have it out there that we may be 2nd guessing.

I can't get behind that. I don't defend Dolan at all, but if it wasn't Dolan and the Knicks something like this wouldn't even be uttered. I can't imagine this having any effect on Durant's decision.

Is it hard to believe that there was no leak? That this is completely fabricated?

Janis and Kristaps fly to NYC and cab over to MSG. When they get into the room Phil is sitting there with an old school clipboard and a page that says “EXIT MEETING NOTES” at top.

The point is, Dolan is getting quoted publicly about it. This means he thinks Durant is signing elsewhere and is now trying to save face.

We got meetings with Kd and Kawhi off bat. I’m telling you we got some chit up our sleeves. Red shirt KD and Kawhi carry the kids this year.

You can’t tell me that KD is as excited for his Nets meeting as he is Knicks.

I’m not buying that lol.

How would guys feel about a KD/Kawhi combo? Does that change any minds about paying an injured KD near max money??

Ohhhh ok I thought you were legit asking me where I read this. You seem to be making a semantic point that’s eluding me.
