If we gave them that kind of money we'd have 9 players signed and only 4m bellow the tax threshold. I really doubt we keep both because it isn't feasible.

Wonder if and when Biz gets his contract stretched? I think if they don't stretch him it'll be a sign they aren't keeping Kemba.

I get that Kemba wants the most of the max that's afford to him in Charlotte. However, is it worth not having a better cast around him is the question he has to ask himself. They will be lottery bound for years as they can't afford a better cast around him due to the idea of Kemba signing a max deal with the Hornets.

Sometimes, it comes down to integrity, health and common sense to realize your true worth when it comes to playing the game of basketball and life itself. If Kemba takes option B and goes somewhere else, at least he will have a better cast around him and a better chance of winning more games than he could ever do in Charlote. It will have to come at the lost of the max he seeks. If Kemba is smart, he should look to market himself to some endorsements to not only build him brand, but to collect some side money with he's able to do so.

why would we put Iwundu on either of those?

Not saying that Iwu should guard them, I'm just saying that the level of their opponents is higher. Siakam and Gianis could be guarding only starters during a game, however Iwu will guard 50/50 (starters vs backup) or whatever.

He’s defending 1st and 2nd stringers not g leaguers. He’s a good defender and hustle player and I’m pretty sure he was shooting close to 43% from three the second half of the season. But because he’s not out scoring everyone...come on’

The Magic have been “steadfast” in their desire to re-sign top free agents Nikola Vucevic and Terrence Ross, and some within the organization are anxious to see what their market value will be, writes Mannix. Ross may be a candidate to receive a big contract offer from a team in need of a three-and-D wing, according to Mannix, who speculates that the sharpshooter could command $15MM per year.

It’s crazy how summer league is such a bad indicator of if you’re going to be a good to great pro. Stanley Johnson got his option declined today, he absolutely killed Orlando summer league. Same with Lonzo, Josh Hart they were both Vegas mvps. Kevin Knox last summer. Even Kelly freaking Olynyk his rookie year looked amazing.

You definitely shouldn't be drawing firm conclusions from it, but I've come away from the past 2 summer leagues thinking Mitchell and White specifically both looked ready for big impact - and they were.

If players don't look great, though, no reason to give up on them. But this board is always looking for a hot take to cement as fact.

On the flip side, Trae Young was getting criticized last year. Turns out he's not a bad prospect at all

If true, I consider the knicks out of the running for Vuc... short deal isn't going to cut it from them.

The Timberwolves tried to engage the Nets on a sign-and-trade of D'Angelo Russell for Andrew Wiggins.

The talks "never got even an inch off the ground."

many times that "overpay" has paid off too. Magic arent unhappy with the overpay they did with McGrady.

Wiggins had "overrated" written all over himself. Now he is worst valued max contract in nba.

$15M is what I'm also expecting for Ross. Anything under is a win.

We were denied an injury exception for Grant Hill back in the day. I doubt the NBA will do us any favors with Moz. Also, the Moz and Asik issues are quite different. Asik’s career is over because of his injury.

I'm pretty sure that we wouldn't get one because he was injured when we traded for him. You can't request an extension if you knew about the injury prior to acquiring the player.

Celtics are now frontrunners to sign Kemba Walker, that's shocking because I thought the Celtics wanted Rozier to start. Now what happens to Rozier? Rockets have 2 bad contracts in CP3 and Capela, I wouldn't trade for either guy unless maybe your unloading your 2 worst contracts going to Houston.
