I doubt it but far from an open door as some of his haters advertised. Hes a decent one on one defender who gets burned backdoor and on some screens. Gotta improve his awareness but I wouldn't say hes lazy or indifferent to defense. Hes just average at it.

I've said it before, I think if at 19 he looks as solid offensively as Trier did and defensively as good as Dotson you should be pretty happy considering both are 23 and 25 respectively. And I actually believe his game will look similar to Trier, along with the same flaws early on. But see that's the thing though, we're talking 19, at 6'7. Lots more potential.

But from a pure results standpoint I see Trier/Dotson levels of impact. Maybe 16pts cause we'll force the issue to get him touches. 5 boards cause hes got internal competition on the glass. Fatigue, frustration, Fortnite. Rookie year stuff.

And that's why it might not be a horrible idea to go after Russell if KD and Kyrie don't come. Hes gonna need a distraction in this city. We're brutal.

Fly on the wall dream: Watching Knicks practice where it's RJ vs Frank.... those two will make each other better.

Yeah I posted him working out in all adidas. He’s more of a Nike guy to me. It didn’t look right.

predicting a rich mans tmac out of him,

averages of 32.2ppg, 9.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists on 52% fg, 42% 3 pt shooter in his 3rd year in the league as we take down the charlotte hornets in the ECF on the way to play the against KP in the finals 2022

The wildest fact in that BBallBreakdown video was that Duke only used Zion as the PnR roll man seven times all season. I feel like that cannot be accurate.

I liked Coach Nick's observation of Barrett's 3PT shooting using a "hop" set up instead of a "1-2" set up. I hope the Knicks staff does a full analysis of his 3PT% at Duke using each type of footwork.

There was a breakdown in which there were highlights in a bunch of things the knicks do. They have the aggressor to use on those plays. I predict 20 ppg his first year. No cappin.

anyone remember this quote from janis?

"From their point of view, Kristaps is the focal point at the moment, so you cannot upset him much, or otherwise, at the end of the season, he will say, 'It's not so cool here.' The second question is: Who is the New York audience coming to watch now? To a large extent, it's Kristaps. So the organization has to take that into account."

his name is rj barrett you moocher, **** you!

What a piece of ****...never saw that quote.

These dudes really have that Brooklyn Eastern European FOB Guy vibe...you know what I'm talking about...the guys that don't use their turn signals....blowing stop signs in their big German luxury cars.....picking fights on the street because you didn't cross fast enough......taking up two spots at Costco.........**** ****.

The hipsters are saints by comparison. This **** should've played in Brooklyn, he would have that audience locked up.

I see why Morant went ahead of him, his game is going to translate instantly in this NBA, his school's offense was catered for him to be ready.

But it'll be nice to see a killer come into the league again, our 3rd pick. By luck we may have gotten the right pick, **** that fatso and his tyrannosaurus arms...I'm on board.

It was literally a crime on coach Ks part. I'm a Duke fan. Caught every game and he ran the worst offense I can imagine with those guys. They were just so talented it didnt matter until it did. Also didnt help they had no shooters, RJ not excused but from an RJ centric sense it didnt exactly give him the space to be most effective

I really really hope I am wrong and this guy is good. I think we should have traded down. Coby White, Rui Hachimura, and Goga Botadze are all going to be good. We could have gotten 2 of them.

So unfair that this kid has to come here now with no help and a disappointed fan base that is about to give up
