Waiting on Biz to get his contract stretched. Unless they aren't keeping Kemba then they could afford him

Still aren't they up against the tax threshold if they keep Kemba?

They can give Kemba the full supermax and stay under tax without stretching Biz.

If they pay Kemba at that price it will probably cost them Jeremy Lamb even if they stretch Biz. Most they could offer Lamb is around $9m unless they make other moves.

Obviously they aren't going to give him the supermax.

I hope Kemba goes to Boston so the Magic gain leverage on Vucevic. They'd probably let Lamb go and start a rebuild. That would add another wing to market in case Ross leaves too.

If they pay Kemba, that will keep another semi competitive team in our division and in East for a few years.

idk why kemba would even think about staying in charlotte. There's a big difference between getting paid 182 M, playing with bums and being unhappy on the court vs getting 130M and actually enjoying the game of basketball.

Its alot easier to tell someone to turn down FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS than to actually do it

Like let me ask you, say youre making 100k at your job and another company comes and tells you "hey, we'll give you 70,000 to come work for us, but atleast the job might be more fun", are you realistically gonna do it?

oh for sure its a lot easier to mention it but I have a feeling Kemba is tired of charlotte. Whose the best player they put around him since 2011? Batum? MKG?

Where would he go Boston? I'm sure he could ask Kyrie, Horford, KG, and Pierce how they treated them or if they liked it. I heard a rumor they told Horford a different story before he opted out

Wonder if players would blackball a team?

yeah Kemba could easily slide into Boston and it looks like that is the spot... Kyrie is a whack job so I wouldn't worry about what he's said. The Horoford situation sucks because hes done everything for them but I see Boston's point of not wanting to pay an aging player when it doesn't fit the plan.

Letting Kaminsky go just makes Charlotte look that much worse seeing as they didnt take the 4 1sts from boston a few years back

Add Isiah Thomas to this list too.

Two days ago Kemba used to love playing for Charlotte and wouldn't leave them. I think that his agent is just trying to get some leverage to sign a contract closer to supermax with the Hornets.

There is a huge difference in lifestyle from 100,000 to 70,000 compared to 182m and 130m. Bad analogy.

Its not different, its still just a number and youre telling a guy to take 70% of what he can make.
Its not about a lifestyle change, hell if we are are talking about lifestyle, theres not much of a difference between 5m a year and 30m a year, you can do all the same things youd always wanted. So really whats the difference?
You have to remember, these guys have 10-15 year careers at best, and alot of them end up broke, so while it might seem like they are already earning an astronomical number, to say that these guys are in any position to turn down fifty million dollars is even crazier

Tomas Satoransky, who will become a restricted free agent after receiving a qualifying offer from the Wizards, is expected to receive interest from the Mavericks, Pacers, Magic, and Celtics, writes Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington. According to Hughes, the Jazz also had Satoransky on their list of targets before swinging a deal for Mike Conley. I’d imagine the Celtics would be out of the running as well if they can land Kemba Walker.

What do you think about the following trade.

Boston trades Brown and Hayward to Orlando for Gordon and Mozgov

That's a easy no. Hayward is one of the worst contracts in the league, I'm not moving an expiring for him. And I like AG more than Jaylen Brown.

Tyler Dorsey could probably be had on the very cheap. Would rather have him than MCW or Briscoe.
