We have a toxic environment and a collection of the most toxic young players in the league. Why would he want to stay? At least that is what I have been told

I still don't see how the dynamic btw them had anything to do with Kyrie being an idiot. A leader would've actually rallied the team around Gordon and supported his efforts knowing that their best chance at going far was having him healthy and playing well.
It's so obvious that there was an issue in place. Kyries poor leadership made it worse. I know it's easier to blame Kyrie, but yeah.

thats how leadership works. You take one for the team, you support your teammates, you get the young guys in line, you set aside personal goals for team goals. The leader of the team, the best player takes that role. Kyrie did not. I blame this on him. He wants o be the man, but when put in that position he failed miserably.

Coach has to put the young guys in line, that's his job. Kyrie made sacrifices early, but then he lost all respect for Stevens who he considered soft, and made the decision he was gonna leave.

Fixed it for you. Coach? In case you haven’t heard, its a player’s league. He was completely unprofessional this year and I’m happy to see him go.

Blame Kyrie for bad body language and voicing his frustration to the media sure. Dont blame him for not controlling egos. Thats on Brad. He sucks at player relations. Things would of been much different if we had someone like Doc coaching the team.

Stevens has said he did a bad job but I’d live to hear him elaborate . Ditto for Kyrie . Just give us something dude . Open your mouth and tell us what the problem is . That’s the most frustrating thing to me . Communication solves a lot of problems

I’d love if Brad got hopped up on truth serum and then was asked about Kyrie. I’d pay to hear that.

Nah this is the second team with a seemingly normal situation that has gone sour and he has bailed on.

He’s a **** weird dude, as evidenced by the fact that he’s going to Brooklyn where he’ll achieve nothing and probably end up with the exact same sort of problems as Boston.

They’ll love him in Brooklyn. He’ll fit right in once he asks Baynes for a few tips on how to grow a man bun.

So he’s either definitely going to BKL with KD or definitely going to LA with AD. So which of his best buddies is he lying to?

Imagine if team played a video of all his lowlights when he returns to Boston next year? Celtics are way too classy and intelligent to do that of course.....but I’m not. I would love it.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Karma will get him in the end. It already has. Tried to leave Cleveland and the past two years didn't work out. Wanted to play with Durant and that's not going to work out, and then he'll go to the Nets and they'll never sniff a title. Good riddance, Kyrie. Your selfishness will catch up to you.

Selfishness? he spend 7 years in cleveland and brought them a title. Cleveland isnt exactly Turks & Caicos or some exotic amazing place to live. Is it really all that horrible that a 26 year old want to leave Cleveland after putting in his service there to either go to a bigger city or his home town? Especialyl given Lebron was going to bounce to LA anyhow?

AD demanded out. KAwhi demanded out. Butler demanded out. PG13/Lebron/Kd left/threatened to leave.... but Kyrie is a bad guy for wanting out of cleveland?

I dont buy it. He gave them 4 finals and a title. Yes they dont win it without Lebron but they also dont win it without Kyrie who dropped 30 a game on the warriors and hit the game winniner in game 7. (and dropped 41 at home in an elimination game 5)

If you want to blame Kyrie or put the bulk of the blame on him for how things went in Boston then fine... but the criticism of him being some bad guy because he wanted out of cleveland seems disingenious... especially when no one was bashing AD for wanting out when it seemed boston was a favorite to trade for him.

Kyrie gave cleveland 7 excellent years. Him wanting out should be no issue. He never wanted to be in Boston, he got dealt there instead of a team of his choice. He tried to fit in and when he couldnt he handled it poorly. Thats on him for sure. But i think its overboard the charecter assasination thats happening here... not unlike when most big names leave Boston. Ray Allen for instance.

Actually it was 3 Finals since he demanded to be traded the offseason before their 4th Finals season..
With that said the same issues that occurred in Cleveland certainly popped up again these past few months in Boston. At some point Kyrie has to look himself in the mirror there.

Remember all the Cavs fans warning us after the trade. naw, just sour grapes. It was the cavs fault. Naw, it was all the Celtics young kids and gm, or the city. It won't happen with the Nets.. It's not Kyrie is finicky, odd, and hard to work with. It's just all other people on this god given flat earth.

I gave him a pass because of the Lebron factor. He has left no doubt in his douchiness rivaling Lebron’s now.
