The latter I think.

Wizards got two salary controlled prospects, one of whom was a first round pick last season and a $190k salary ballast. I think Lakers shouldn't even have had to add a 2nd round pick here but did so because they are up against time constraints.

Salary cap circumvention. But who cares, right?

Anyone have thoughts on Jemerrio Jones? His rebounding #'s are Rodmanesque, and he's even smaller than Rodman was. Not sure anyone his size has ever rebounded like him. Any chance he can develop a reasonable 3ball and be a 3 and R player in the NBA?

Where are they getting $32m?
Is this just a D.Lo Max they mean?

Looks like they are going to have the cap room PRE Davis trade. So, they have to agree to someone before July 6.

$700k on the first years amounts to a $3M paycut over a 4 year contract, I do not think it's gonna be a deal breaker either, but it's a significant difference between what the Lakers can offer to a 7-9 year veteran vs what the rest of the teams with capspace can offer.

Not sure he can shoot or develop a shot but the dude is an absolute mad dog on the boards.

Anyone coming in will have to be open to some sacrifices in terms of shots, role etc. Anthony Davis already set an example by waiving his trade kicker which amounts to $4.2M so there's a precedent.
