Allan Houston talks about cadence... The cadence, rhythm and balance portion is where I think DSJ needs work.

Unfortunately, I think we're beyond this. He'll have the offer from us at 6:00:01.
It's just a matter of how close can he be. I'd still take 95% of KD.
yup i believe this had been in the works for a while...big guys like him don't just randomly make decisions and we aren't in a position to rescind that offer. This is the first superstar in a while that in theory wants to come here. If anything even if its a legacy play it should help the young guys and our ability to attrack other players because KD is a generational player even if we won't be getting 100% of KD.
That article said that KD's leg will be at 95%. That doesn't say KD will come back at 95%. Big difference, imo. 100% in one leg, 95% in the other will absolutely kill your balance.
If they snap his other Achilles right now they can both be at 95% at the same time.

And I will never get that. As of now, they have the better team. Young. In the POs. But they are so deadset on "taking the city". Traded picks in the process and will renounce DLO. Nobody can take the Knicks out of New York. Not even Bane

I think Durant is coming, what you guys forget is all through the season it was a matter of him signing the contract. I think his team is just blowing smoke everywhere to make it look like he didn't decide mid way through last season. Now if you look in the media no one remembers that it was all but done. Now it looks like he actually considered all teams.

KD and Kawhi is clearly the Knicks goal to go against Steph/Klay, LeBron/AD and Harden/Paul.

Probably the most insecure fanbase in the league.

Kawhi won't come to the knicks, LA has a distinct advantage to almost every player. Its just a much better standard of living with the weather, media, and potential roster. New York is not a destination 90% of free agents would choose, when LA is an option.

Release is clean and repeatable. It's his bottom half that's always been the issue. It's why his catch and shoot numbers have always looked way better than his off the dribble jumper numbers. Much easier to fix balance issues than actual release issues.
His footwork needs improvement
Yes his footwork is all over the place.
To break down his fundamental form I would think you'd want a guy to practice a lot of catch and release shots so they get in the habit of being fully squared to the basket with their feet properly planted for the jump shot.
but you usually see guys dribbling and shooting. I get it, that's how it will be much of the time, but it also can reinforce old habits due to repeating dribble rhythms you are accustomed to
he gets up on his tippy toes too much and leans into the shot. That can be corrected from the base up and then you worry about corrections to his release up top
Seems obvious to me and I'm just some guy, but I don't really see much from many of these practice videos that gives me confidence in the tutelage some of these guys receive

Re: Offseason Thread: Sunday Funday can't come fast enough
kawhi won a chip as a man dog why would he want to play second fiddle to Lebron?
Kawhi is the best player in the league right now with the KD injury...Kawhi has a bit more pride then to join up with Lebron is my thought.
