Lsandersbong way to early 2020 big board

Post#1 » by LSandersBong » Fri Jun 28, 2019 1:26 am

Very, very rough big board at this stage, haven't had a proper look into a lot of the freshman on this list just watched high light videos here and there.

1. Cole Anthony- My favourite to go number one atm looks like the complete package for a potential star NBA point guard.
2. James Wiseman- Feel hes becoming underrated should definitely be in the converstation for the number one pick, has some good ball handlin skills is quick and has shown some shooting. Athletic asf
3. Anthony Edwards- Athletic shows some passing skills as well, thinking he will be RJ Barrett lite hopefully with better shot selection.
4. RJ Hampton- Spent alot of time in NZ travelling, so really rooting for RJ, looks the goods but probably not in the same tier as the top 3 picks.
5. Killian Hayes
6. Deni avdija
7. Jaden McDaniels
8. Theo Maledon
9. Ochai Agbaji
10. Scottie Lewis
11. Tyrese Maxey-
12. Neemias Queta
12. Nico Mannion
13. Charles Bassey - Fairly high but not as much competition at the C position this year.
14. Josh Green
15. Lamelo Ball
16. Wendell Moore
17. Tyrese Haliburton
18. Isiah Stewart
19. Amar Sylla

Lol I'm a big fan of Queta, can not understand how little hype he has will be an absolute defensive menace at the next level.

Early ramblings- Filip Pretrusec been showing up for Gonzaga should make an appearance soon (Ayayis been interesting as well), while Tillie has yet to play. Stewart . J Smith, Nwora all been playing well should rise in my ranking. Kira Lewis JR came up huge for his first game this year is younger then alot of freshman as well plus is athletic could make a run into mid first. Scottie Lewis still shows athleticism and intangibles but has not translated as of yet at all. Queta's still coming back from an injury should be back soon. Cole Anthonys still looking my fave to go 1, Edwards and wiseman are pressing there claim though,( hopefully Wiseman can play) Cassisus Stanley has been my favourite freshman from Duke so far. Not sure why I never had robinson-earl on there looking like a lottery player from his first game and other highlights. Yertseven may finally deliver on his promise after 2 strong games ( Maclung and Akinjo have looked allright). Onyeka Okongwu could be a lottery level talent.

Will wait a few more games before I do another Mock

1. James Wiseman-
2. Anthony Edwards- If Edwards can proof he can perform well consistently and depending how Wiseman performs on return may bump upto 1.
3. Cole anthony- Still like Cole Anthony as a prospect but even with a poor supporting cast his inefficiency can't be excused anymore
4. Lamelo Ball
5. Deni avdija
6. RJ Hampton
7. Killian Hayes
8. Nico Mannion
9. Jaden McDaniels Playing well as of late
10. Onyeka Okongwu- Hoping he can be a Clint Capela type player certainly has the tools.
11. Tyrese Haliburton
12. Jahmius Ramsey-
13. Theo Maledon
14 Isiah Stewart
15. Zeke Nnaji
16. Tyrese MAxey
17. Obi Toppin
18. Issac Okoro- Love the defensive upside
19. N'faley Dante
20. Vernan Carey Jr
21.Jordan Nwora
22. Precious Achiuwa
23. Jalen Smith
24. Tre Jones
25. Neemias Queta returned on Sunday playing limited minutes and didn't play at all previous game
26. Josh Green -
27. Kira Lewis Jr
28. Ochai Agbaji
29. Isaiah Joe
30. Scottie Lewis-

31. Paul Reed- Love the tools
32. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl
33. Aaron Nesmith
34. Joel Ayayi - Moved into the starting lineup playing well.
35. Steve Enoch
36. Filip Pretrusec
37. Landers Nolley II
38. Reggie Perry
39. Malcolm Cazalon
40. Omer Yurtseven
41. Devon Dotson
42. Ashton Hagans
43 Nick Richards
44. Amar Sylla

46. Samual Williamson
47. Cassius Winston
48. Arturs Zagars
49. Killian Tillie
50. Mamadi Diakiti
51. Markus Howard
52. Tyler Bey

54. Patrick Williams
55. Myles Powell
56. Makur Maker
57. Oscar Tshiebwe
58. Aaron Wiggins
59. Ayo Dosunmu
60. Wendall Moore- Might be better of waiting till next year where he could go mid first.

Dropped- Matthew Hurt (reminds me of Ryan Kelly or Kyle Wiltjer, lazy comparisons but I think hes probably a 4 year guy eventually becoming a very good college player) Kahlil Whitney( Should wait till next year still like the upside but just hasn't been able to put it together) Charles Bassey ( Injured rest of the season, should probably try again next year but might be worthwhile declaring hoping someone takes a flyer) Javonte Smart ( hasn't shown enough)

I like the depth of this draft for role players but definitely doubt there are any multiple type all star players in this draft. If RJ Barrett was in this draft as a prospect I would take him first easily.

1. Anthony Edwards- Has been fairly consistent since the Michigan State game.

1. James Wiseman- I guess the best of the worst lol really not comfortable putting him at 1 after a tiny sample
2. Anthony Edwards- Had some stinkers lately no consistency to show he deserves to go first still shows flash's of stardom
3. Cole anthony
4. Lamelo Ball
5. Deni avdija
6. RJ Hampton
7. Killian Hayes
8. Tyrese Haliburton - Grown on me alot only thing i'm slightly worried about is his low release 3 point shot it is quick though.
9. Nico Mannion
10. Jahmius Ramsey- Came back played well is consistent good on defence good from range athletic. Not a great ball handler but a fantastic 2 way player.
11. Obi Toppin
12. Onyeka Okongwu- Hasn't played as well in conference games as of yet still like him as a prospect, could be capela lite
13. Isiah Stewart
14. Jaden McDaniels- Just meh at this stage , Stewart is much more impressive
15. Theo Maledon
16. Zeke Nnaji
17. Issac Okoro-
18. N'faley Dante- Still playing limited minutes, has played well but has been back for a few games now, must be a reason why the coaches arn't giving him more playing time, will follow.
19. Josh Green - Played much better as of late , athletic 2 way player
20. Tyrese Maxey
21.Paul Reed- This draft reminds me of the 2013 draft , Paul reed might be one of those later pick gems.
22. Precious Achiuwa
23. Vernan Carey Jr
24. Jordan Nwora
25. Neemias Queta still been limited when he has played played well.
26. Kira Lewis Jr
27. Ochai Agbaji
28. Scottie Lewis- Small jump purely based on defense
29. Aaron Nesmith- Playing well moved up accordingly!
30. Tre Jones

31.Isaiah Joe
32. Jalen Smith
33. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl
34. Joel Ayayi
35. Daniel Oturu- Really impressed average start to the season could move into first round
36. Steve Enoch
37. Landers Nolley II
38. Reggie Perry
39. Devin Vassal
40. Omer Yurtseven
41. Killian Tillie
42. Ashton Hagans

53. Trayce Jackson-Davis
54. Patrick Williams
55. Myles Powell
56. Makur Maker
57. Markus Howard
58. Aaron Wiggins
59. Ayo Dosunmu
60. Lamine Diane- Shout out to Real Gm posters for switching me on his game has put some insane numbers since being back but against weak competition will keep an eye on him, cant discount production

Some Changes this time , really see low value in picking top 7 definitely try and trade down.

Dropped Devon Dotson- Could still prove me wrong and could be some kind of Devonte Graham lite player but not holding my breath at this stage just over players you'd rather take a swing on 2nd round. Samual Williamson- Should wait until next year. Nick Richards- Athletic and has improved but not sure he is NBA material. Trendon Watford- Tough call just other players I prefer, still a freshman though and could have a go at going first round next year Quentin Grimes- Too inconsistent

On the Cusp- Payton Pritchard, Jared Butler, DJ jeffries, Devon Dotson, Aleksej Pokuševski ( just havn't really had a proper look at yet , seems intriging) Jimma Gatwech (still no confirmation but would be worth a look solely on athleticism) Karim Mane ( another high school prospect worth having a good look just based on the uncertainty in this draft) Jay Scrubb ( Similiar story except from JUCO) Udoka Azubuike

1. James Wiseman-
2. Anthony Edwards-
3. Cole Anthony
4. Lamelo Ball
5. Deni avdija
6. Killian Hayes
7. RJ Hampton
8. Tyrese Haliburton
9. Nico Mannion
10. Obi Toppin
11. Onyeka Okongwu
12. Jahmius Ramsey-
13. Isiah Stewart
14. Jaden McDaniels-
15. Issac Okoro-
16. Theo Maledon
17. Daniel Oturu- Continuing to impress, big jump could move higher. Wasn't initially sold on defense but will at least be solid on that end.
18. Zeke Nnaji
19. Josh Green
20. Precious Achiuwa
21. Paul Reed-
22. Tyrese Maxey
23. Vernan Carey Jr
24. Jordan Nwora
25. Kira Lewis Jr ll.
26. Neemias Queta
27. Ochai Agbaji
28. Scottie Lewis-
29. Tre Jones
30. Aaron Nesmith- Was considering dropping to the 2nd round as he's out for the season but will leave him here for now.

31. Isaiah Joe
32. Jalen Smith
33. Nick Richards-
34. Ashton Hagans Could go late first just due to defense alone
35. Devin Vassal
36. Patrick Williams
37. Joel Ayayi
38. Oscar Tshiebwe
39. Omer Yurtseven
40. Jared Butler
41. Reggie Perry
42. Filip Pretrusec
43. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl
44. Landers Nolley II
45. Cassius Stanley -
46. Tyler Bey
47. Amar Sylla
48. Cassius Winston
49. Trayce Jackson-Davis
50. Arturs Zagars
51. Ayo Dosonmu
52. Malcolm Cazalon
53. Xavier Tillman
54. Killian Tillie- 5/02 Struggling to stay on the court will be harder in the NBA
55. Aleksej Pokuševski- See him popping up first round in a lot of mocks, only seen some brief high lights but has an intriguing skill set so need a proper look.
56. Myles Powell
57. Devon Dotson
58. Mason Jones
59. Mamadi Diakiti- After Virginia and Diakiti's insane defensive numbers to start the season, they have really come back down to earth .
60. Lamine Diane- Playing well putting up big numbers but have to question the quality of competition plus he looks more suited to playing PF/C yet he is only 6'7 will see once he plays against some higher competition.

Dropped - Aaron Wiggins hasn't done enough to show he will be either a solid role player or someone with upside at the NBA level. Ayo Dosonmu- Hasn't made the leap everyone expected him to make, still could be a good defensive point guard

On the Cusp- Payton Pritchard, DJ jeffries, , Jimma Gatwech Karim Mane Jay Scrubb, Udoka Azubuike, Derrick Culver JR, Leandro Bolmaro, Steve Enoch. Lamar Stevens

Edit 26/1- took N'faley Dante (33) Makur Maker (57) added to 2021 Mock added Nick Richards (32) readded Ayo Dosonmu (57) as soon as I take him off he has 2 huge games lol. Dropped tyrese maxey (20) to 22 really dont understand the hype lol hes kentuckys 4th best player if that. Dropped Jahmius Ramsey (10) to 12 way to quiet vs Kentucky today when they needed someone to take over in a close game.

Edit 5/02 Been doing a new one every 2 weeks but not enough changes to warrant a new post. Removed Markus Howard (58) A great scorer and could still maybe catch on as a UNFA but just because of his size I doubt he gets drafted . Replaced him with Mason Jones who has been on an absolute tear as of late

6/02 completely rejigged 2nd round order dropped Steve Enoch he could catch on in summer league still, re added Devon Dotson, wanted to fit Payton Pritchard in but been burned on so many good college point guards who lack athleticism

Yeah they have a similar type of game and projected role in the NBA, both are pretty limited to scoring in the paint but while Richards is younger, I slightly prefer Steven Enochs ability to run the floor and he shows a few more nice post moves though. Defensively there pretty even, maybe slightly prefer Richards on that end. My 2nd round still is abit of crap shoot though to be honest though.

Kai sotto cannot compete laterally to play in the nba. See him as a backup center in college when it's said and done

1. James Wiseman-
2. Anthony Edwards-
3. Lamelo Ball
4. Deni avdija
5. Killian Hayes
6. RJ Hampton
7. Tyrese Haliburton- Out for the season ouch stops him from moving up

30/04 - Long time without an update due to Covid ( :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: ) , however players are now deciding weather they declare or return with surprises on both sides.

1. James Wiseman- Feels weird having Wiseman number 1 but feel Edwards carries a little to much inconsistency for the number 1 spot all though a lot of mock drafts seem to have him at that spot.
2. Anthony Edwards-
3. Lamelo Ball
4. Deni avdija
5. Killian Hayes
6. RJ Hampton
7. Tyrese Haliburton-
8. Obi Toppin
9. Cole Anthony
10. Onyeka Okongwu
11. Issac Okoro
12. Jahmius Ramsey
13. Nico Mannion
14. Daniel Oturu
15. Isiah Stewart
16. Theo Maledon
17. Zeke Nnaji
18. Precious Achiuwa
19. Jaden McDaniels
20. Paul Reed
21. Kira Lewis Jr ll.
22. Tyrell Terry- Didnt think he would declare, is abit on the small size but is a great shooter with a quick release, his game looks translatable
23. Josh Green
24. Vernan Carey Jr
25. Tyrese Maxey -
26. Jordan Nwora
27. Tre Jones
28. Aaron Nesmith
29. Isaiah Joe
30. Trendon Watford

31. Jalen Smith
32. Ashton Hagans
33. Devin Vassal
34. Omer Yurtseven
35. Nick Richards-Cooled slightly on Richards seems to have a pattern of much quieter games when he's playing teams that can match his size
36. Patrick Williams
37. Joel Ayayi
38. Saddiq Bey
39. Jared Butler
40. Tyler Bey
41. Reggie Perry
42. Filip Pretrusec
43. Cassius Stanley
44. Aleksej Pokuševski - Feels more Nikoloz Tskitishvili rather than Porzingis but have to take a risk.
45. -Cassius Winston
46. Xavier Tillman
47. Leandro Bolmaro- Not that high on him but he does show some creativity
48. Killian Tillie-
49. Mamadi Diakiti-
50. Myles Powel
51. Ayo Dosonmu
52. Devon Dotson
53. Immanual Quickley - Thought he could of benefited returning to be strengthen his draft stock with a bigger role, solid defender and good shooter
54. Lamine Diane
55. Mason Jones
56. Derrick Alston Jr.
57. Charle Bassey
58. Lamar Stevens
59.Payton Pritchard -
60. Tyshon Alexander

10 Players who I thought would/should declare are returning there we go. Makes 2021 a lot more exciting!

Probably won't do an update until lottery but will do a 2021 update within the next few days,

very interesting board you have here. being a big Gonzaga fan, between your last 3 mock boards, you had 4 Gonzaga players being drafted. I understand the market for Killian Tillie, but curious on your take on Joel Ayayi, Kispert, and Felip as I see Joel making a big jump in your boards

Yeah to be honest in an alternative world, I would of been confident to bet money on Gonzaga to have gone all the way March madness, the team is deeeep. I'm not the hugest college ball guy but enjoy watching Gonzaga as they allways manage to develop these unheralded prospects into solid NBA players.

Ayayi I think projects to be a very good back up at least ,he's kind of good at everything ,which is great to say about a prospect very few flaws but isn't particularly elite in a translatable NBA skill to be a sgreat tarting PG e.g athleticism, shooting, size, quickness, defense. I think he projects to a great bench PG. I've had an eye on Ayayi since early on, i'm not sure how/if the predraft process will happen but will be hard to be swayed.

Filip Petrusev, not that high on, very oldschool game very solid post game, no real range on his shot, good rebounder , solid passer as well not huge but is strong. To be honest I had the similiar fears about Domantas Sabonis game as a prospect lol. I think he either becomes a good bench body or he has a great career in Europe

Corey Kispert I had for 2021, maybe he has a chance at being a solid bench player due to his 3 point stroke alone , not that high on him thought he might have a better chance in that draft due to getting a larger leading role with a team that will still be strong - Watson, Timme, Ballo and probably some random guy that will come out of no where.
