Irving is intent on living in the New York area and a person close to the All-Star point guard says he prefers the Brooklyn Nets over the Knicks because he has concerns about Knicks’ management, including ownership.

Durant is a tricky one, because not signing him may be the smarter play. He’ll likely miss all of next season and when he returns he’ll be 32 years old and coming back from a major injury. And who even knows if Durant would have trust in the Knicks’ medical staff to spearhead his rehabilitation. The Knicks recent track record with injured All-Stars – that would be Kristaps Porzingis – has been spotty.

Durant needs a good medical team next season more than he needs a strong supporting case. Leonard had both in Toronto. Coincidentally, the physiotherapist credited for helping Kawhi regain his form and manage the regular season under a “load management” plan is Toronto’s Alex McKechnie. That would be the same Alex McKechnie that Phil Jackson wanted to hire when he became Knicks president.

McKechnie had worked with the Lakers when Jackson coached there and the two grew close. However, Dolan wouldn’t allow Jackson to hire McKechnie, who would have been in charge of the team’s medical staff. So McKechnie, who viewed the move as a demotion, passed.

It was a minor disagreement at the time but it had major ramifications. It was also an example of Dolan interfering to the detriment of the franchise. Last week, in what should have been an innocuous celebratory press conference for first-round pick RJ Barrett, became its own unnecessary controversy when the Knicks were fined $50,000 by the NBA for not allowing the New York Daily News to attend.

 this is such a hit piece.

So maybe this is how Quin Cook comes to us.

Wouldn't mind that tbh. Experienced younger guy that's not afraid to let it fly from deep. Every team needs that.

i don't want kyrie on the lakers. lebron, kyrie and ad is another unbeatable team in the nba. the best thing happening in the nba is that you'll have no clear cut favorite next year. that happens and it's over. i would pick l.a. as the west favorites without kyrie but they're not unbeatable. with all 3 they kind of are.

They'll win plenty of games. But when the main guy is 35, I think it's an issue. It's hard to truly dominate when the main guy you're relying on is up there in age. It doesn't usually happen.

he only needs to be the 3rd option on that team. he'll be able to rest a lot during the season. they're not gonna have any problems for the next 2 years. after that who knows.

They'll do well. But I don't think it approaches Miami where all three guys were proven awesome, prime ages. There are question marks with these 3 but probably not enough to stop them from winning a lot. Overwhelming favorites for the title -- though they probably will be by conventional wisdom -- but I'd say Not quite that.

That's cool. Give the Warriors an exception so they can beat the Lakers. I'm with it.

Hell, if KD comes let's off an exception to another team out there too! Who else can they send us?

Maybe a couple of 2nds or a player with a 2nd. Don't trade Frank or anything in the process though.

Can't believe how so many people value Frank and believe in him going forward but trash the idea of signing players like Kemba, Kyrie, or even Rozier smh.

I drafted him in BAF. He should end up being a nice player.

Y'all just continue to fall for the trolling, when you should just ignore the hell out of him. Same goes for Frank Isola and Bondy.

he's definitely playing a character with the anti knicks stuff

Frank makes 4.8m this year, with a team option for 6m for the year after. Kemba is going to be 30 and will command a massive deal worth around 35m per year. Who knows what Rozier would cost in today's market. Not sure wanting to develop Frank has much to do with not wanting to sign a Kemba or whatever. Two different things if you ask me.

Have to be with this club anyway. For folks that have been around for awhile it's burnt into our foreheads.

Let me guess, Sacramento giving Barnes that deal now has nothing to do with Perry setting them straight.
