Capella is not someone you trade a young big you already have for with arguably higher upside. That would legit make me root for another team

I'm just enjoying watching Morey and Pringles trade their only interior defender for another wing, even if that wing is a good defender

If the Knicks still had Porzingis, D'antoni would've told Morey to trade for him.

The man doesn't want any of his players stepping into the paint.

I think he is underrated by pretty much everyone

Same. He's a proven playoff performer. Last season was just cancerous for the entire team. I can see him putting up good numbers if he's the main guy at pg. Just needs to improve his overall shooting. 39 percent overall is not cutting it.

John Jenkins waived and making it now a full max for 2 players.
In short, all I am saying is RJ-Brunson-Grimes-Quickley-Randle are the untouchables moving forward.

if the knicks honestly are saying kd, kawhi, kyrie or roll it over, you really should applaud them. so few teams are willing to do that. to put up with the media hating on them and not fold to the pressure is harder than it seems. most teams in the league just sign mediocre guys when they can't get anyone else. the knicks are seemingly actually committing to the idea of championship or bust.

Knicks wouldn't trade Mitch, they would likely give up one of the Dallas picks in the deal and take Capela into space and then likely trade Frank for like a 2nd rounder to open up more space for next season.... You'd effectively be trading Frank and a 1st for Capela.... I wouldn't be a big fan of it but it would make some sense if the Knicks can't get anyone to pair with Durant this season and next year's crop being what it is...

I think he has that potential but I don’t feel we should give him a contract based on that potential. We should pay him accordingly until he shows other words. I still say we should go get Lonzo but that’s me

i could see them trading for a vet for kd but not at center. that's the most solidified position they have. i totally disagree about mitch not being ready. i heard at the beginning of his last year he wasn't even good enough to play in the league and by the end he was our best young player. plus next year kd is not playing, you think mitch won't be ready by year 3 ?

I am not a fan, I don’t want to Knicks to invest That kind of money into Capela. I would rather we pick up a veteran Big and let Mitchell develop

What if it's a short term 2 year deal?

Still say no?

Granted we strike out on everyone else first.

I see your point, but you could also look at it, let’s say signing Kemba and Butler to the young mix and get the kids playing meaningful games in April and May might be better than striking out and winning 20 games..even though Kemba and butler right now wouldn’t make the Knicks title contenders but would give them a shot at top 5 in the east..

He could be he could also still be a foul machine and have no role offensively... Obviously I'm bullish on Mitch just like everyone else here but it's not set in stone that he's going to be playoff-ready either in the next few years. Like I said, I'm not a total fan of the move but it would make some sense to get a known and reliable defensive presence in there for a relatively cheap cost which this would be.

Would you guys say yes to taking on Blake’s contract for free essentially? I’ve gone back and forth on it. Blake’s resurgence in Detroit has been fun to watch. He doesn’t rely on athleticism anymore.

3 years left on his contract FYI. Coming off 24/7/5 season.

Kemba - Allen
Dotson - Trier
Barrett - Frank
Blake - Knox
Mitch - Kornet

Is a 50 win team and an Eastern Conference contender.
(Nets GM - 2018 - 2021)
2019 & 2020 Eastern Conference Champion
Milwaukee Bucks (2025)
PG - Dylan Harper - DLo
SG - Jaden Ivey - Ja'Kobe Walter - Bones Hyland
SF - Jaylen Brown - Terrace Mann
PF - Tobias Harris - Sam Hauser
C - Thomas Sorber

Return to New York Knicks
