i still think KD's move is the weakest though. Lakers literally have gutted their roster to create this superteam. they are not going to have Iggie, Livingston, or none of those quality bench players. they'll find bodies, but will be mostly washed up vets or unproven cheapoes

Kawhi won 2 times without other stars, so he kinda free to do whatever he wants. Signing with the Lakers is the best option from the business stand point. I said it to Jay in April, but these fools don't listen, Iggs

I wouldn't be surprised if this was in the plans for a long time, Magic apparently told Steven A a while ago that his plan was to bring AD and Kawhi to LA with Lebron. The timing of the Kawhi/SA problems and AD/NO problems happening when they did. AD wanting to be traded to LA. Kawhi requesting to go to LAC not the Lakers knowing damn well Pop's not letting Kawhi partner with Lebron voluntarily.

This would keep Kawhi close until he becomes a free agent and doesn't have to worry about moving again to switch to LA. Also that clip with Kawhi's sister after the game 7 Philly win and his family in the background saying "he not gonna be there next year" implies that he already knew what he was going to do.

No one expected Kawhi to win a championship last season. GS if were healthy they would have beaten them and that would have given him good reason to switch teams and not seem so bad for joining two other top 5 players to take them down. But if Kawhi has a chance to win it after KD and Klay go down he's not going to pass up that opportunity.
