Does everyone know teams can start calling 6PM tomorrow night? Only to set up a meeting.

There's going to be so much overpaying for the talent it will cripple teams because of the money tied up in mediocre players.

But yeah, let's keep perpetrating the myth that KP's injury will haunt him forever.
Good job MSG PR. Get a radio show to spew your agenda.
What's the list of nba bigmen that came back from an ACL and fulfilled their promise?

plus hes 7'3. even before the acl, he was injury prone. he hasnt played a real basketball game in 1.5 years. that is a long time.
He played almost 50 games the year before (48). He would have played this year, but he was still on his rookie contract. There's no way in hell anyone is coming back without a new contract. Because the Knicks didn't want to give him one, he was never going to play this year.
Now look at Durant. He's out for a year at least. Plus it's going to take another year for him to get acclimated again. You're looking at 2 years when you see him at full strength, and by that time he's 33.
You’re assuming it’s going to take him all that time to get back to form.
He’s healed by this time next year and has the whole summer to work with teammates. I give it to mid season at that point.
In your scenario, which is worst case in my eyes, KD at 33 can still be effective. How is Lebron right now?
By that time, our youngins would have matured more. Who knows what trades we would’ve made & who knows how the draft had fallen for us. A lot of factors where we have the upper hand. Meanwhile, it’s a 4 year deal vs. a 5

Knick man get paid
I think there’s a 0% chance we get him, but I think the only real pitch you can make is the challenge of leading the worst team in the league and best city in the world to a title they haven’t had in over 45 years.
He’s already won with arguably the best coach ever/one of the top dynasties ever, and led Canada to their first title ever in his first year, now what about really testing himself?
We have the assets to build a team around him like Toronto did. Although I don’t think he’d come for the shoe deal, it’s a sweetener at least, plus his uncle and all that, and our management/coach is respectable and made some history in a great way.
The dude could be the King of the North, and the King of New York. LA is Lebron’s city whether he’s in the LAL or LAC.

Would your respect for Kawhi change if he goes to the Lakers? tbh, i think it'd be a weak move

Weaker than Lebron to Miami and KD to GS combined imo.

Only players I would be disappointed in (for pulling that kind of move) would be Westbrook, Dame/CJ and Curry/Klay. F it let's add RJ to the list.
I have 0 expectations when it comes to those other guys.

Don't compare Lebron to KD. Lebron is a superhuman mutant when it comes to staying healthy. KD missed almost a full season from his foot injury, and has missed some time almost every year since.

Kawhi already a champion though while LeBron and KD were ringless prior to joining the Heat and Warriors.

Everyone else who is really hesitant to have 2/3s of the cap tied up in two players that have the injury risks KD and Kyrie have and1 this post.......

Yea. Kawhi proved he can win on his own. The dynasty killer.
LeBron couldn't get passed the Celtics without Wade and Bosh. Wade already had a ring as well. Durant was spanked by GS and joined them the very next season.
I can understand if Kawhi goes to the Lakers. He loves LA. And it makes sense to go to the better LA team. And he could be exhausted from having to carry his teams for numerous seasons.

I’m comparing basketball talents aging, not health & body.
