DSJr too short for the team the Knicks trying to put together.
Frank doesn't attack enough.
Knicks haven't found their future PG yet.
Unless it's Mario.

DSJ shows flashed of brilliance and has entire games where he looks like a top PG in the league. But then he'll have complete stinkers and can't hit his FTs or outside shots. Some games he looks fluid while in other game that hitch in his shot looks like an infected pimple on my ass.
We should learn a lot about him and Frank this season. Who worked his tail off and who looks the same. Same holds true for Knox, Mitch, and Zo.
Really looking forward to summer league.

How is that shooting stroke coming along Dennis?
Shouldn't you be running with the runners to get that body in shape?
Well, one day-off from training isn't bad Dennis, hopefully it's been only one?

Re: Dennis Smith, Jr. Thread
I don't give a rat's ass about this video. Dennis trying to be slick. It's from an angle where you can't see how fcked up his form is. I can still see that right arm drifting off to the right, his guide (left) drops off, and that little hitch in his shot is still there.
If I'm wrong, great. Prove me wrong. We'll know soon enough. Just wait till he gets to the FT line in the 4th quarter.

release changes every shot. bad footwork. still not fluid. looks like he’s stroking a medicine ball.

kid needs serious training.

I’m not gonna lie, I was thinking why even post this? Not much going on here to get excited about. I really hope he is working hard on his shot and handle. I really believe in his potential.

I'm curious about seeing Mario at the point again, if only to see if the end of last season was a fluke or, if we'd actually found something that can work. What do guys think about the Knicks being interested in Terry Rozier or, so it's being reported

Not sure about Rozier (or why) but Mario I see coming back to reprise his role as 3,4,2,1 off the bench

Hard pass for me. His advanced metrics are not good. Plus I don’t think he’s an upgrade over the guards we already have. Why not just invest in them? They have as much potential if not more than him and are still on their rookie contracts.

Mario is fine off the bench. As long as it's a cheap, sort deal, I'm ok with it.

He played much better than anyone on the team calling themselves a point for that stretch when Fiz played him at point. Even dropped a triple double. Extremely small sample size but, it did happen. Not trying to big up Mario....I think he was pretty much useless for us except for that small sample at the point. Likely was a fluke but, I am curious

I'm wary of big games in April. That said, he's an all around player who likes to get out in transition, so it seems to fit what they want to do. Again, it would have to be a cheap, short deal. Like a 1+1. Obviously, don't let Mario get in the way of any real significant FA moves.
