They would have no problem unloading Gallo.

Yep, no problem at all. He came off a good season. And the Clippers got a lot of assets in that Harris deal. It'd be an easy move

I meant to reply to this - I find tons of things hilarious on here, but very rarely actually laugh out loud reading messageboard stuff. This got me good.

Mecca, c'mon my guy. Don't post this in the middle of the light flash/mushroom cloud from a Knicks related Woj Bomb. At least wait until everyone's dying from the radiation. Now is the time to bask in the warm glow; we will all die horrible Chernobyl deaths soon enough.

that team would be able to switch 1-5 :o

Barrett's D potential is very underrated. He has pretty decent defensive upside too.

That's an excellent defensive team. Frank just needs to be able to hit an open shot with that line up on the floor.

DLo is THJr part 2 as well

DLo is an All Star who lead his team to the playoffs and proved, even if it was just one year (he's still only 23) that he's capable of carrying the weight. Tell me when has THJ ever carried his team anywhere as the main guy? DLo is closer to Kyrie than he is to THJ

DLo was 24/8 the day the calendar year changed, did it without LeVert or Dinwiddie. 2nd best player was arguably Joe Harris. Dude deserves 20 mil per at his age.

And right off the bat he'll get 23 million, so it's already a bit past his value. Also, philosophically, If I'm running a team and I'm going to max out a guy and have his contract on the books for 4 years, I'd rather it be a guy who accomplished those things, for, say, even two consecutive years.

My issues with DLo, are people throwing out the word "all star" where it implies "perennial". He made a team. It's nice, it happens sometimes to guys who are good, but not great.

The other thing is, the max represents something of a risk. It MIGHT be something of an outlier year for him, where he got more usuage or he MIGHT not perform any better.

My points all along, with DLo AND Randle, is that for MAX MONEY, they represent something of a risk, and I'm not sure the Knicks are at the "risk taking" part of the rebuild. If any team ever is.

Conversely, I've stated each time that maybe they could be worth it. There is certainly the case that players get better right around their 4/5 season, right around where the CBA has them jettisoned off teams if they are really good, to avoid cap hits OR up for possibly a larger (than initially) deserved payday.

It's something of a risk. Which could lead to a good reward. Or be less than rewarding.

DLo and Randle it is. That's the team until 2023-24 season.

You bring in Frank when the PG is going off on the other team.

I don’t think it matters (in the sense that it’ll be a deciding factor for KD) and KD actually likes Knox and Trier. Lol now thinking about it I don’t think it was a coincidence we drafted/signed certain players...

One all star game, as a replacement. We don't need to get into the list of "ok" players who made an allstar team.

DLo COULD be worth every penny. It's a risk. It's a similar risk to Randle. They both could be THJr 2.0. Or both not.

There's minimal risk. You know what you are getting with DLo, it's that simple. His career already trumps anything THJ has ever done since entering the league. Your arguments stay weak

Because you ignorantly think I'm comparing them to THJr the player, when I'm comparing it to the scenario THJr got money he was supposed to play his way up into and then exceed.
Which I've stated several times the THJr thing is an analogy.

The only thing staying weak is your reading comprehension skills, at least around this topic.
