Celtics are still going to be a good team, just not a championship team. They do have talented players, minus Kemba, Tatum, Brown, Romeo Langford, Grant Williams etc not stars and they are too young. I wish them the best. Anything can happen so who knows.

You keep leaving Marcus Smart out when you are mentioning players. He is a solid player, and the heart of our team. ShouIdn't leave him out. I know you think our only hope of winning the championship is to add another big star to the team, but do you even consider the possibility that one or more of our players will develop into one? Jrue/Lonzo/Ingram/Zion/Horford should be pretty fun to watch out west. If they can grab someone like Danny Green to alternate with those wings, they could be quite good. Zion is going to do very well next to Horford.

While Kemba is presumably a huge character/personality upgrade over Kyrie, he probably isn't over Al. Similarly, while he's very competitive with Kyrie in on-court value, he isn't with Kyrie+Al.

I'll find it hard to be excited in any scenario where Horford indeed leaves.

And now we apparently lost out on capella so imo this is why centers are more important we go after the center with the big bucks not kemba, now we're linked to canter as our big. We go after vucevic and we could have beverly rubio etc so we swing for walker and now have to deal with scrubs at center.

We won't have a scub at center.

I'm impressed with how Griffin is just not accepting the traditional rebuild from the ground up with youngsters path. He is also making a solid attempt to be competitive and playoff bound next season.

Jrue is an unusually good 2nd banana for a team dealing with a trade demand from a superstar, plus lucking into first pick with Zion in the draft. But Horford's game is a great choice for their needs.

I think Wyc and the owners would only go into the luxury tax if we had a stacked team and were a lock to make the Finals.

They've extended the QO to Rozier and Theis. The others are all renounced. I would expect Rozier to go in some sort of sign and trade, either to Charlotte, Houston or Indiana.
