He was 2nd in the league in blocks averaging less than 25 mpg. He was the clear cut leader in bpg per 36 minutes and was 3rd in the league in offensive rpg per 36 as well.

After they shut DJ down and allowed Mitchell to become a full time starter he became a double double machine and never looked back. He's also a good FT shooter, something Jordan has never been in his career.

He's a very, very promising young player but to act like he didn't do anything less year is just ridiculous. It's not his fault this team sucked last season.

I've watched the NBA for a very long time and I don't remember the last time I saw someone with his defensive presence. Literally can guard all 5 positions in any sequence and has the ability to block shots from the perimeter which is important given the style of ball played in this era. His motor is also the best out of any big man in the league. I don't think there's anything hyperbolic with what I'm saying.

He’ll have the lights on him this year.

We purposely drafted and brought guys in who can handle playing in the spotlight. Having young guys gonna be an advantage on our part. We will have plenty of depth unlike Lakers. We will be ready to win when KD back. We have alot of assets dont forget. Can always make a trade next year if this does happens

Im not gonna get my hopes up tho lol

Who did we bring in that can handle the spotlight? Mudiay? Hezonja? Vonleh?

Our team won 17 **** games last year. It's a bunch of kids with potential, but 3 or 4 years away from knowing anything real about them.

How much is that ?

about 5 million

That is the taxpayers mle. Unless there's some other reason, we'd get the full, which is over 8. We're not in the lux tax threshold. That whole apron conversation from years back.

the knicks have knox, frank, and dsj...thats nearly 15 million where they could acquire any player near 20 million + a ton of draft picks to get additional help if that truly what its about.

If we get those guys we immediately start to go in win now mode keep rj keep Mitch. We can have best of both world a contender with 2 amazing you g players developing while winning

One of them is not available next year. Kawhi + young kids = missing the playoffs. Maybe in 2 years IF (big if) Durant comes back to his old self.

& again, you’re assuming there’s not a big jump from any of our guys.

Celtics went to the playoffs with kids (Tatum, Brown, Terry, etc). Their vets were guys like Al (Kawhi better than him obviously).

He's a good shot blocker. One day he will be, but right now he's not strong enough to hold down the middle. He gets moved around way too easy.

But what matters is KD's perception of him

If KD doesn't think he's a good player, it doesn't matter if he is or not

KD played the Clips 10 times last year. That core took 2 games off the Warriors. I don't think he's gonna rate us as high as them based on Mitch and potential

Celtics had kids in the playoffs a year ago with an injured Kyrie in the East but the Knicks won’t be ready if they added Kawhi, KD and a $5mil except vet? Copy

On a 17-win team, hard to call any player "one of the best in the league" at anything.

We just don't know how his game would translate in a winning environment. The tools are there (I'm a huge fan), but right now it's all potential. He still lacks discipline and he's still way too inconsistent.

I know we're bracing ourselves for another failure in FA but all these expectations for Mitch and RJ are way too high.

Also don't sleep on trier KD likes him and he can play Lou William role of the bench.

Barring any injury, I fully expect him to be in contention for one of the NBA defensive teams in his 2nd season.

I also expect him to be a DPOY candidate before he's 25.

That kid is very special. His defensive ability is unbelievable and you could tell he was improving as the season went on (i.e. stayed out of foul trouble in the second half of the year when he was a foul machine early on.)

All while never playing a minute in college. He's going to be a beast for a long time.

He gets moved and still recovers quickly with a contest what games were you watching defensively he is way ahead of the curve and already a major

the core of beverly and gallo aren't there...gallo avg 20 pts a game in that series if he thinks it was just an SGA, williams, and harrell core he can't be that narrow minded
