I really want Noah Vonleh on the Celtics. He is an undervalued player that would fit perfectly on the Celtics.

Give me two of those and and Tacko.

What definition of "big" is being used?

The Celtics idea of "big" is "someone 6-6 or taller"?

Gortat said he would play if he could start. The teams need a strong veteran for screens, and rebounds and fouls.

Tacko would be swell. A two-way might be the only hope for that.

Minimum salary Kyle O'Quinn would be wonderful for all.

Minimum for Kaminsky or Bender, to add height and shooting. Kornet would be added to that.

The Celtics would call Bonzie Colson "big"?

Holding out hope for WCS....Expect Theis to return...With Kemba coming though, we will need to renounce Yabs....Guess i would do that though....that is if he isn't already gone?... Much rather pay WCS 10 or 11 mill a year than pay Yabu just to warm the bench... Might clear the way for our new draft pick to get minutes? Sabonis would be great too if some sort of deal could be worked?....Surprised he wasn't a poll option?

Lin as in Jeremy Lin, the point guard? Is there another Lin I am not aware of in the league or in Europe?

Not possible.

The genius Director of Player Personnel is giving guaranteed money to the Dancing Fool.

The Celtics have picked up their 2019/20 team options on three players, according to an official announcement from the club (Twitter link). Jaylen Brown‘s fourth-year option has been exercised, as have the third-year options for Jayson Tatum and Guerschon Yabusele.

The decisions on Tatum and Brown come as no surprise. Tatum has looked like a rising star since being selected third overall in the 2017 draft, and the decision to lock in his $7,830,000 cap hit for 2019/20 was a no-brainer. Brown hasn’t flashed the same sort of star potential as his fellow No. 3 overall pick, but the starting shooting guard continues to improve on both ends of the court, and guaranteeing his $6,534,829 cap charge for next season was also an easy call for the Celtics.

Boston’s decision on Yabusele is a little more surprising. The former 16th overall pick has played in just 38 games for the Celtics since joining the team last season, and hasn’t made an impact, with 2.2 PPG and 1.5 RPG in 6.7 minutes per contest.

There have been reports of the Celtics interest in Kanter. At least he does a few things on a very high level, one of them being rebounding. You want a guy with at least one great skill so he has a reason to be on the floor. His weaknesses are there too, but can be hidden a bit.

Supposedly the Lakers are interested in him too.

Might need to add Yabusele to the poll. He is no longer an expiring and not really usable Salary ballast anymore.

Celtics didn't have enough quality bigs last year even with Horford and Baynes. $4.8 million is not enough for a quality big. There must be something else going on in trying to work a trade

Think we keep Theis, then i went with WCS based on skill set and potentially shouldn’t be more than 12m per year

I would love to see the Celtics pursue Cauley Stein to fill their need at the center position

That is normal expectations but due to how much Stevens loved going small last season I would not be surprised if they stood pat. If it happens though I just hope it doesn't involve trading Williams, Brown or Smart.

I'll go out on a limb and say Danny and Brad are less worried about this than the fans. They really don't value centers. Wouldn't be shocked if they thought Theis, Williams and a vet minimum guy is sufficient.

Good thought.

If there is one position in the NBA you can go bargain hunting at it's the Center position.

No matter where we go, I hope we go potentially even as cheap as vet min.

Get the next Aaron Baynes that no one really wants but would be pivotal for us. There's going to be at least 3 good options that will be paid absolutetly nothing and won't sign till well after the wave of free agency has calmed down and the available options to them are slim.

In that arena we're at least a guaranteed playoff team with a need and one they can showcase their talents at the 5 so we'll have quite a bit of an advantage.

The room exception options are underwhelming. Of the floated names, Kanter is the most productive and has already shown he can score playing off of volume shooting guards with his roll work and offensive boards. But he's almost Okaforian on D. Probably our best option if we can somehow convince him to sign for $4.8 million (guaranteed starting spot?). I think he'll get more from somebody else.

Kevon Looney is very undersized but he's a functional stopgap. Like Amir Johnson, he can defend and play off of skilled offensive players, but I think he's even smaller.

Ultimately, I think they're going to have to trade for it, though maybe not until the trade deadline.

It's not going to be WCS. He doesn't do anything well.
