So already all the top guards gone. Not that we had any chance but this makes it tougher to sign quality Fa to a reasonable deal. Looks like Russell will be gone in few days, maybe even tmw.
Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!

I am dumbfounded that the Bulls (appear to be) putting a precedent on paying up for a high level big backup. Not only is it far less of a need than PG, but if you look at this list, there's so many decent backup bigs that we should absolutely be waiting out the market and getting a cheap one.

Some name's that will probably slip through the cracks without a substantial deal -

Luke Kornet
Richaun Holmes
Joakim Noah
Nerlens Noel
Ekpe Udoh
Cheick Diallo
Ed Davis
Noah Vonleh
Frank Kaminsky

As for PG, just skimming through that list again, one guy that is not talked about at all on here is Rondo, and I think he'd be an awesome fit, both as a vet (we know how much the young guys liked him and how much he was said to have worked to help them) and a player (excellent at making guys better and controlling a unit, plays good defense most of the time at least, and is a solid spot up shooter at this point in his career).

From his comments about his time at the Bulls, maybe he's over the Bulls FO and doesn't want to deal with that again, but who knows. He doesn't seem like he's on the top tier of interest in this FA class, and if he's available for good value, I would be totally on board.

How much do you think Robin Lopez will ask for? I'd be okay bringing him back at the right price.

He's probably on the fringe of getting a decent deal imo, it's just hard to imagine him getting that much because there's not a big market for bigs.

I think that might be one of the most fair contracts we'll see signed this offseason.

Im actually kinda shocked Orl are resigning Vucci Mane. Youd think they'd wanna give Bamba room to actually develop in that log jam in the front court even tho he didnt play well.

They should give Bamba to the Bulls...

But yeah, Bamba should get out of Orlando. He is in the risk of stalling, unless there is a developmental plan in place for him.
From the basketball's perspective, travel is a nice pause from being pounded to the floor.

Here's a deal:
Dunn/1st 2020 top 5 protected for Bamba
Would the Magic accept it?

I'm thinking he's looking for something in 3/$25M range.

I wouldn’t want to do that. Lotto protected, sure, but Orlando probably wouldn’t. But for Bulls, the need is a reserve big who can help now and maybe for a good while (though down the line, could be Gafford). Anyway, next year’s lotto may be quite helpful, more so than Bamba.

If the Porzingis thing didn’t happen they were going to trade Bamba for DSJ.

Since they’re a playoff team I think they aren’t going to wait for Bamba.

Would require three things:
1: The Magic to have really soured on Bamba. I don't know of any reason to think this is true, though I don't follow the Magic.

2: No one else to come in with a crazy offer.

3: The Magic to be pretty down on the Bulls odds next season (seems reasonable).

I think you might need to shift the protection down to top 3 as well. The Magic would make this trade due to having some upside to it.

I'd even go for a top 3 protected offer as much as I keep believing Bamba will be great.

It's unlikely we could get Bamba from the Magic as the FO is high about WCJ.There is a good chance of Gafford growing up as a very good backup for Carter ,I really liked his pick

Why? I like Bamba, but we don’t need him anymore.

I've been starting the getting Rondo back bandwagon since the draft, maybe even before. So you're not alone.
He'd be perfect for what we need now imo.

I've heard that Rondo really wants to stay in LA.

I don't believe we're set on the frontcourt,WCJ has to improve next season,we have Gafford who can be very good but still I'd take a risk on Bamba if possible eventually trading Carter after it.

Dwight Powell and Mavericks expected to agree quickly on 3year, 11M per season deal! Very solid.. I like Powell and he had great chemistry with Luka last season.
