Let's say we actually do this. What does Danny offer Horford with a theoretical open checkbook. 3 years 75 with a 4th option for 100? I dont see Celtics matching that 4 for 115 someone reported. I dont think there is any way

Thought I'd do the forum a favor of transcribing a recent interview Abby Chin conducted on a Celtics Stuff podcast with one of our forum regulars:

I see that 41 people have and-1ed your post, but I have to say the point has been made regarding Afam's posts. This is just piling on, isn't it? Not necessary, and not very nice. Just my $0.02.

I'll confess to not reading most of your material, but that claim strikes me as very, very odd. Until recently there was nobody who could recall a Red Sox championship in their lifetime. A major TV show -- specifically LOST -- made a joke out of Red Sox fans' defeatism. There was fake superstition around it the Red Sox' perennial failure to win championships. (Curse of the Bambino) Etc.

I mean, I think this would have to be a sign a trade would it not?

Depends on what Hornets could do to open up enough cap space. If they don't do anything drastic like waive-and-stretch Biyombo or Marvin Williams, they'd have less than $9M in cap space once Kemba signs elsewhere and their other FAs are renounced.

Yes i believe it does. Big question is what does the rest of deal look like, and i’m sure thats bostons focus right now. My guess is we attach a decent asset going to brooklyn

It would be upsetting to frade point guards without some sort of deal being worked out that benefits us both.

But I'm too stupid to even know what that deal would be

This isn’t the place for it but basically the religious cult he’s affiliated with has done very bad to the country. Actually they were best buds with Erdogan until 2012. I’ll leave it at that since this is a Basketball forum but we can talk more on PMs if you want

Hard to believe there is still a pretty solid group of those who joined in 2003.

It's crazy how much/how little has changed. I remember in the early 2000s trading vhs tapes of summer league tapes, and, in the Pau Gasol draft, all we had was like 1 grainy clip of him shooting a jump shot, possibly with other players, furniture, or beings around him (Alf?). Information was far less accessible, but I remember it being much more fun. I also have vivid memories of Joseph Forte sitting on the sidelines of a game with an oversized daffy duck shirt, and I know that would've been screencapped/memed today. On the other side, full time employment, marriage, and other life responsibilities probably have reduced the fun potential of the 2019 realgm era for me. I still read a ton, and the active group here still kills it. Keep it up, ya'll.

Why would the nets do this? Unless the Celtics give an asset?

Exactly. They need something. Idk if an unprotected second rounder is enough?

Looks like you're right. Forgot about the jerseys debacle, too.

The Rozier-to-Hornets buzz is getting louder.

If it's not it should be. The Nets are gonna be fun to keep tabs on next year.

They will be hard capped with the S and T scenario, so that’s a consideration.

I have always said Horford wouldn’t do a 3/60, 3/ 75 seems fair for the player he is.

No, that's fine.
-- I find it plausible (although not certain even knowing what we do about the Ergenekon apparent nonsense) that the negative view of Gulen is accurate.
-- Even if that opinion is accurate I don't agree that every one of Gulen's many supporters is a POS.
-- But calling every one of Gulen's many supporters a POS is not so ridiculous that we need to hash it out in a non-political forum. ;)
