In simplest terms: If the Celtics effectively trade Kyrie for Walker, then there's no salary cap reason they can't re-sign Horford as well.

Sign and trade irving and rozier for kemba to stay over the cap, then anything is possible with our FAs

To a first approximation, Rozier is irrelevant to that scenario. However, if Charlotte happens to want him, then that makes the whole thing easier.

Why does BK help Boston in this scenario?

That's probably an either/or at best. While I haven't done anything to check the numbers, I can't imagine keeping Al, keeping Morris, getting Kemba and still not paying luxury tax.

Read on Twitter

BOS gets Kemba (max)
BKN gets Kyrie (max)
CHA gets Yabu, Rozier (some amount to fulfill matching), TPE

Getting all the parties to agree esp. Rozier (who may listen to other offers) and Hornets (at a certain starting salary) could be tricky. Kyrie being a weirdo doesn't help either. Add sweetener as needed.

Re-sign Horford to agreed upon number post-trade.

I don't want Morris back, I want either a sharpshooter or a big. Morris to take 12-15 shots a game, no thanks.
Good assessment:

They would presumably get an asset back, most likely via Celtics.

If you post something, it's in the public eye, including that of reporters. For example:
-- People here are very sure Gary Tanguay reads this forum and even steals ideas.
-- I've talked with Tom Curran on a message board (KFFL Patriots forum, when that still existed), as well as on Twitter.

This is separate from other ways of communicating with reporters, e.g. Twitter, where I've chatted with a lot of them.

Rozier going to Charlotte makes this possible.

Ernest wrote:I wonder how the timing on things went. First word gets out that Kyrie is leaving. But what next, Horford tells Ainge he wants to leave or at least opt out and look at his options, or Kemba gives word he wants to come here? I'm not asking about the order of tweets and reports but the order they happened to Ainge. I'm wondering if Ainge told Al, look we love you but unless we can make some tricky moves we can't keep you. Go out and see what deals you can get, keep this talk hush hush, and if it all works out we would love to have you back.

It can be simpler than that. Al's agent asks for a lot of money. Danny says no, but indicates there could be room to offer more depending on what else happens in FA.

Smitty talking about a fourth team being involved if Rozier doesn't play ball and we'd need Baynes' salary to match. Phoenix would have to be involved. Semi likely gone too.
