Hayes is super tight with Dame, source likely from the Lillard himself.

UPDATE: Finalized.

I suspect we can call this gospel at this point. 3+1 for Lillard. Locks him into PDX for his 31,32,33 age years... If we're not a contender at that point, Dame can make a choice to exit or not.

Feels about right. if at age 34 Dame wants to ring chase, none of us should get upset by that.

Damian Lillard's extension

Post#3 » by Najee12 » Sun Jun 30, 2019 7:16 pm

So basically, it locks up Damian Lillard for another six years for roughly $258 million. He will be age 34 when the deal ends:

But the internet told me Dame would be tampered with by LeBron to skip his supermax and sign with the Lakers in two years. Because of Space Jam 2.

Ironically I didn't hear anyone stressing Dame's loyalty to Portland... I just don't think he's that guy.

There was one poster in particularly here who was convinced LeBron was gonna steal Dame away during the SJ2 filming.

Almost $50M per year :o
I only wonder if he's going to cost the team 50% of the cap during a last year on this deal :noway:

Welcome to the new NBA, please enjoy it.

Reason: highlighting personal attack.

They should really trade CJ now. The team can't afford to keep Dame and CJ with CJ being a max player, we'd be much better off being able to give that money to 2 quality players.

Hmm, is Lillard getting paid money or mutual appreciation?

Or instead of panicking with a knee jerk trade, they can operate as a competent franchise and see how things play out over the next year before Dames big dollars kick in...

Yeah agreed. It will allow time to see if Simons shows promise, or whether the jury is still out.

This deal is obviously an overpay in talent, but he deserves it. He's the best star player leader /franchise ambassador in the NBA.

I'm happy enough, as long as Dame realises this mega-deal will hurt his chance of Portland winning a Championship.

Will be awesome seeing Dame be a one team player hopefully.

I don’t think it’s an overpay, Lillard is one of the best guards in the NBA and he is the only Blazer to get us to the WCF since Rasheed and I think that team was far more stacked on talent. He is also one of only 3 blazers to get 1st team all-NBA.
