this dude gets ridiculed unnecessarily. Yet again, he comes through with the big scoop. This guy is the hardest worker in the business with Get Up, First Take, radio show, and then sports center appearances.

Another great get by SAS, one of the best in the business

Um, SAS also got the "scoop" that they were going to the Knicks....

It's pretty clear that both of them were gunning for an NYC team. Possible that before Durant got hurt he was ready to take the Knicks back to glory, with James Dolan or not. But then his future is more iffy with the injury and decided he doesn't think he wants to be forced to overcome Dolan's foolery so then he chose the Nets.

The Nets held their cards close, cleared the space near the draft and then took away the 2 max cats the Knicks wanted and to add salt to the wound took away the Knicks center in Jordan.

This officially ends the Knicks era in NYC and they should seriously consider moving to Seattle.

So basically move a 5 billion networth Knicks team to Seattle which will probably value at 1 billion dollars?

Knicks dodged a bullet after KD injury. I think in 4 years we'll look back and agree the Knicks came out on top.

It doesn’t even feel like anything major happened. Twitter is just non Nets trolls killing the Knicks.

Good for the Nets. It’s a blessing in disguise for the Knicks. No injury risk, and keep going young.

Man if the Knicks don’t get Kawhi they really struck out. I like feel bad. So is Fizdale just gonna run back the tank again? Their tank was so blatant last year - that will be so painful for another year.

It’s seriously just time for me to switch over and become a Nets fan at this point.

This is some melodramatic stuff. LOL

The Kyrie/Durant duo could end up backfiring spectacularly. Kyrie is ridiculously overrated and KD just tore his Achilles and will be 33 the next time he steps on to a court.

This is far from a sure thing.

their tank was so painful to watch last year, i was kind of hopeful they didn't get Zion (at least in the lottery)

you're defionitely corect, this is far from a sure thing. but they're in the east. they'll likely compete for years to come. It's definitely a risk though I'm sure the nets are aware of when they did these moves.

They absolutely can be.

This isn't the Lakers vs Clippers situation. The Knicks are not the Lakers, they are a team that last won a ring almost 50 years ago and have been almost irelevant post-season wise for 20 years now.

The Lakers have an insurmountable lead on the Clips the Nets don't have to do much to leap over the Knicks in modern history success.

If anything this will finally make the Knicks go away from the "all in on FA" plan they''ve been doing since Donnie Walsh came and since he left. They should just build a competitive team (like the Nets were basically forced to do with no draft picks) that plays hard every night and build an actual foundation and be patient. Stop switching coaches, gms and start changing the culture. And most importantly ignore the media and fans while you are executing it. Rome was not built in a day
