Hopefully Kawhi stays in the East or goes to a team like the Clippers or something. I really don't want to see the 3 headed monster of Kawhi+LBJ+AD that team would be damn formidable in the West.

Ariza can defend and shoot, he should mesh well with Fox, Hield, etc... It's not that terrible on a short deal.. They need some vets in that locker room who've been to the playoffs, etc.. It's not a terrible signing, it's not great VALUE either.

However Deadmon? Pure KANGZ...

You wouldn't expect a team as bad as the Magic would even want him for that much. I thought our competition would be good teams.

Yeah, at that number, the Blazers were probably pretty decided they didn't want Aminu back unless it was back for the 6 or 7mil per deal.

Well I mean more that if he said he was getting that offer from Orlando and asked Portland to match we couldn't. I get it that he is a UFA and can sign any contract he wants even if we are willing to pay him the same.

Aminu is not RFA, we can't just say "we match". He'd have to agree to it. And while I hope we bring someone good in, we might be looking to duck out of tax territory for a season to avoid repeater penalty.

Magic have delusions of being a playoff team. They also brought back Vuc and Ross... I am not sure I get this for Orlando unless they have a deal in the works for Gordon or Isaac... Aminu's best position is the PF... Same as Gordon, Same as Isaac.
