Ariza's gone to SAC.

Just... what the hell was Ernie thinking when he traded Oubre for Ariza... and then didn't trade Ariza for a 2nd or two... Thank God he's the GM no more!!
Edit: I wasn't expecting Wiz to re-sign Ariza by any means but I didn't expect him to get a huge contract like this either. Well, good for him, I guess.

What was nets thinking? Picking an overrated and selfish Point guard in kyrie over D'Russel. I much rather have Russel over Irving. I do, Agree that levert would be a great option for us going forward.
Kyrie & DeAndre ! What a tandem !!

Wiz are going bargain shopping after re-signing (hopefully) Bryant and Sato. Though my guess is that they only sign one. This is what happens when most of your salary is tied into three players (IM, BB, JW) and your owner (wisely) doesn't want to go over the lux tax because this is a crap team.

The whole league is looking for guys like Otto and Kelly and we salary dumped them both.

The whole league is looking for guys like Kelly? Maybe his wingspan but not his game.

Hopefully its Thomas Bryant.

Re: Wizards 2019 Offseason Thread
It looks like the Nets are going to need some cap space to make all these signings work (KD/Kyrie/Jordan/Temple) - would be a good time to work the phone and see if Joe Harris could be absorbed into that TPE.
Not much long term advantage on that one year deal, but could improve the overall competence of the development situation for a year with his spacing. Alternatively, he could be flipped at the deadline for junk and a pick if the bottom falls out.

I disagree. This is a great move even if Bryant only marginally improves. I'm really happy about this. I'm also not worried about Bryant's improvement. By all accounts, he's one of the hardest working guys in basketball.

Great deal. Looking at the numbers being thrown around so far it's crazy! Better off resigning our guys, laying low and biding our time. Then when the market settles go after guys who fit what we need. A lot of these teams making these early moves are over paying big time.

I think that's what Chase is saying. He's going to improve big-time because he works so hard and he will be worth a lot more by the end of it.

Yeah...don’t know what Hughes is talking about. That’s a good # to get TB at. Especially compared to some of the other signings I’ve seen today.
