You don't have to make a public trade demand to want out. All he had to do was inform Horst and Horst facilitated it. But it is pretty obvious from his demeanor that he really didn't want to be in town.Buck Dweller wrote:rrayy wrote:This is not blatant cheapness. They won't even be paying the luxury tax if they use the room MLE and sign a vet min deal or two. Best record in the NBA and a chance to win their first title in 50 years. Disgraceful.
At this point this is still presupposition with the only evidence being a Gery tweet. He never made a trade demand as far as we know.

It’s sort of sad to watch him pose questions on twitter. “I wonder what the Bucks are doing?” “What does this mean?”
I actually just went ahead and unfollowed him after the playoffs. He didn’t really bring much to the table.
He's a waste of space on my timeline. I just unfollowed him. He's contributing absolutely nothing to the news today.

Happy with this. Brogdon is overrated and at best, the 6th best player on the team. Paying him 85m would be a major mistake, and that's not even accounting for his injury issues.

I will say this, Brogdon has had foot injuries going back to college. That is definitely a red flag.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Harris got a 180 million dollar deal
Unsure why people are attacking the Middleton deal so harshly- its pretty much the going rate in the NBA- to let Middleton go would tank us. Its not like Milwaukee is a free agent destination. Giannis helps but its still Milwaukee

Re: Woj: Malcolm Brogdon S&T to Pacers for Picks
The players, owners and coach are not the City. How much he loves the team will not matter if he does not want to live in the city. I bet you Kawhi loved his team, coaches and owner. He is still likely going to LA anyway. Loving a team means nothing.BigO wrote:lvckv wrote:rrayy wrote:This is not blatant cheapness. So... just S&T him for some bull? This is a terrible deal..
There is absolutely nothing to the rumor Brogdon didn't want to be here. He loved the owners, teammates and coach. This is all about him getting the best deal possible and the front office not viewing him as important as the other three free agents (incl. Bledsoe). I think they made a big mistake. They prioritized Bledsoe and signed him for 3-4 million less per year than Brogdon. I would have let Bledsoe go and kept brogdon. This is a shooter's league and Brogdon was one of the most efficient players they have. Good defender and much improved attack the basket game. If you're in a win now mode, this is the wrong move.

And is going to be 27 this year. Still stings but I'm just looking for anything to ease the burn.

Big loss as Borgdon played a key role on last years team. Good efficient players are hard to replace. Who plays the 2 now?

12M would cover Covington.

I asked myself, what would my grandpa say if he read through this thread.
Honestly, losing Brogdon sucks and I understand the frustration. But lets at least wait 48 hours and see what Horst has done when the dust settles. There are still a lot of teams who are looking to deal.
Wonder what "dogs with bees in their mouths" thinks?

He's a very good player, and the second-best on the Wolves. What are we giving to get him exactly?

JRich, Covington, PJ Tucker are interesting options
